gsxr 750- naked.

A few mods, and it wouldn't be a bad ride.
If I ever crash the fairings off my Gixxers that's what they'll look like. [thumbsup] [laugh]
looks like they borrowed the headlight from the Streetfighter.
I want a naked R1. Not a "naked" sort of version. I want the cross plane crank engine, R1 chassis/suspension, and an upright sitting position. Yeah, I know duc SBK. I also don't have 20K to spend on one (if I di, I'd buy the multi anyway).
^^^ Buy one and mod the shit out of it. ;)
looks wheelie fun!
Doesn't really do anything for me. *shrugs*
Yeah it's a little ho-hum IMO.
Suzuki's styling rarely does anything for me
this one is another...ehh
Awful pointy. That front fender sux.
The GSR has been around for awhile overseas. They get quite a few bikes that we don't.
Will they actually get it right?
The biggest problem I have with the Japanese nakeds is that the brakes and suspension are watered-down and sometimes the engine is nothing like the sport bike counterpart. Atleast the brake rotors are floating on this one.
It would be nice to see it "right" rather than what we normally see with Japanese nakeds.
I still would rather ride my 10 year old Duc...
Holy crap...just took a look at that fender after reading a few posts up; [puke] [puke] [puke] [thumbsdown]

actually, that is kinda why i posted it. Not many nakeds come with USD forks.. especially from the japanese.
And then there is the headlight they jacked from the streetfighter
I'm not really a fan either, just thought it would be a new and interesting one in the naked market.
Doesn't look half bad. I guess my expecation is so low that this is exceeding that. Yes, that fender is awful and the headers/pipe isn't that great either.
I like it a lot, except for the front brakes.

so not the 2011 fz1?
weak.
meh
the instrument cluster's nice and functional though. has a built in gear indicator.
Looks like this is the week for Japanese naked bikes -

That is supposed to be a great bike. Will it sell well? Hard to say...
Oh yeah... I actually heard the crossplane R1 last weekend and it resurrected my love for Yamahas. Make it more retro, no detuning, call it FZ-1 if you want and less than $12K. [thumbsup]

Isn't the only way to get a true SBK feel from a naked would be to buy the SBK and take it's clothes off? Most or all the "naked" sport bikes on the market now are all detuned with bigger gears and smaller brakes.

I have to choose between doing this, or getting something "light" like a 690. I suppose I won't get any sympathy for those kind of choices [laugh]
