Meet this Sunday the 14th at Zaguan at 10:00 a.m. http://www.zaguanbakery.com/ (http://www.zaguanbakery.com/)
we eat, lie to each other and then off to http://www.motorcycleshows.com/Dallas (http://www.motorcycleshows.com/Dallas)
Didn't go to the one last year. Sounded like it was pretty weak (except for the Ducati spread) and I didn't miss much. I'd like to give it another try this year but we'll be in Austin for a wedding. Sit on the Aprilla rsv4 for me and make engine noises! [moto] [thumbsup]
We're in. We'll meet everyone at Zaguan. Should be good riding weather [thumbsup]
gonna be a little cold in the am but who cares......

A little comfort food from Zaguan's will fix that. I'll be there on two wheels at 10.... ;D
I'm in. Zaguan makes good coffee I hope.
May not be there right at 10am but will be at Zaguan for sure. Start without us [coffee]
be there about 10 min late.
I'm there... Here. Whatever
I missed this posting, however my girlfriend and I rode down Saturday afternoon. I got a chance to sit on the Diavel AND met Jason Britton and Eric Hoenshell to boot. A great day it was, indeed. [moto]
So, what did everyone think of the show?
(I was there first thing Saturday morning, but I had to ride all over downtown to get past the police barricades - some kind of "Running of the Bums" or something.)
It was cool, but it sucks that the cooler brands (KTM, MV, Moto Guzzi, Benelli, Bimota, Aprilia, etc) don't go anymore.

+1 [evil].
We were there on Sunday morning and had a good time. Plenty of things to see, unfortunately not much of it was very interesting. Lots of independent gear and accessories dealers so that was kinda cool but the lack of other European manufacturers besides Ducati really sucked. Would love to see what BMW is up to lately, plus KTM, Aprilia, Guzzi, Triumph, etc., etc. I know Triumph usually has a demo truck at the dealerships while the IMS is going on but it's not the same as head-to-head shopping under one roof which is what a good show is all about.
The surprise of the day was the new Honda Interceptor - not nearly as ugly as I thought it would be from pictures [bang] [laugh]
Oh and I liked the red Diavel better than the black one for some reason. The sizing of this bike is definetely not along the typical Ducati lines of small and visually "nimble" - the thing is a brute, no question about it... like a scaled-up, two sizes bigger Streetfighter. Big people looked perfect on it. Prolly not going to appeal to a lot of girls tho.
Just my .02 cents. YRMV ;)
Yeah, the red one looked good, but I've got a read and
black 695.
