Hey any of you southern LSD'ers going to be around this Saturday?? I am heading down to the ROT with a couple of other people to hang out around 6th street i think. We are leaving my house in South Fort worth at 6am and taking back roads down there. Should be there before noon. The plan is to hang out do some simple bar hopping (walking distance) and check out the bikes. If any of you are going to be around and would like to meet up PM me your number and I will call when I get down there and parked. This way we can hook up. I am trying to talk cory into coming, but he says "its to far to do in one day". So I have never been so here I come! [thumbsup]
not a big fan of the ROT, but i hear there's a place on the lake called Ski Shores or something??? someone help me out here... but it's where a bunch of euro bikes hang out saturday night of the ROT...
That's this weekend?! Haven't heard anything about until now.
The parade downtown is AMAZING and not to be missed. It'll make a believer out of you...
Well I am not really going to the ralley I am just going to go hang out and check out the bikes and sorts. Anyone going to be around. If so and want to lead to the euro section I'm in!!
Forget that pansy euro-sh!t. The ROT is all about American muscle!
So again, let me ask. Is anyone going to be around?
I should be pulling into town about 4 AM Sunday morning, no doubt in poor shape to do any partying, ha-ha.
I think I may just put the cover on the bike and escape to your wine bar all weekend til it blows over [thumbsup]

Good luck with that! Something like 50,000 Harleys descend on the town, and a good chunk of them will be cruising around the Hill Country during the day. Last year when I went by the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls there were several hundred of them in the parking lot and a line out the door that was astonishing even by BB cafe standards.
But if you want to just have some fun, I would encourage everyone to check out the parade downtown:

They close off Congress Ave and there are more spectators downtown by far than Halloween or New Year's eve. 10's of thousands of bikes (yes, mostly Harleys, but as far as I know anyone on a motorcycle is welcome to join in) going up and down, the noise bouncing off the buildings is truly awesome.
It gets pretty crazy downtown when the ROT Rally is there. It's pretty neat to see all the different bikes out. I remember seeing some pretty wicked Martin Bros Customs there a few years back. Have fun [moto]
[coffee]
Apparently, I will be brewing on Saturday. [drink]
I might check it out on Sunday but I WILL NOT pay 60 bucks to go in and check it out for a few hours, I gotta work saturday as always, and the family is doing a fathers day get together around 6 I think.
Yeah, I'm out too.....this place is infested with those damn Harleys...but it looks like everybody's having a good time so far....every year somebody throws it down the road and mails it in.....tisk tisk......
No way I'm goin' near downtown this weekend.....
I check it out yesterday. All Harleys, lots of noise, there was nothing crazy going on, every one was on their best behavior. Maybe it was too early. It was rather dull but there were a few cool bikes. Did not see any Ducs though. I was glad I did not ride there. I'd been the only one and would have ruined our reputation.

Yesterday we left at 6am and we got back home at 1am, what a day a little over 500 miles. We took a ton of pics, here are some highlights:
