Mark, maybe a superbike school, its not like you cant ride, cos I know you can, you need to build up some of your skills so you can really enjoy the potential that your bikes have [thumbsup]

Yep done 1.5 days of Superbike School + Stay Upright + HART. Would rate Superbike School the highest ... but it costs me $1,000+ a day.
The book costs $30 and I can work through it on the train [cheeky] ... there is always something to learn (and I am a slow learner [laugh])
Sounds like you have done the homework Mark,
I'll tell you what works for me,
observation,
I watch what people do, whether it be on the track or on the road, follow ans observe, sometimes I dont like what some people are doing but every once in a while I pick up on things that I will try and try I will, if it works great if not then move on, but you never stop learning.
I'm gunna shut-up now.
I do apolagise for the thread jack

I don't know if she loves you or hates you.
But we can't possibly help until we can see what we are talking about. What exactly do you mean by bling? Don't know if its cool to bling a bevel.
Do Vee Two still do this stuff? I seem to recall they were changing their business structure ... Monsta?

Don't get love or hate question ???
More specifically, rear sets (similar to 900ss), White guages and custom dash (same as pic of the day), Single seat and cowl, Paint, and so on.
Lots of pics for inspiration but hard to find info on bits. I know Gowies and Road and Race have most of it but always keen for new ideas and products.
Its a good start, Its already got Conti pipes, Cross drilled brakes, 40mm Dellortos and Cams. I will post some pics soon.

It was some gift that's for sure. I was more concerned about what 'project bike' meant ... in that was it a basket of bits that could torment your life for years/decades to come.
Regardless, she obviously doesn't mind that you continue to spend more time messin' about in the garage or 'researching'. Kinda like our neighbour who mows the lawn 3 times a week ... I always think he is in the proverbial 'dog-house'.
Yesterday there was a nice 750ss square case up at PITS ... you don't see that many out and about.
Best of luck with it.
Project bike being something to tinker with, I have spent a couple of hours riding around on it. It rides great, needs shocks and fork rebuild but very strong engine. I have to say I am very impressed so far, should be fun.

Paint is a home job, the shocks and forks are shagged, seat torn, nothing major really just looking forward to tinkering with it thats all.
And Yes, I will be getting one of those clear bevel covers 8)

I love the sound of the original Conti's. I've heard a few bevelheads with other makes of pipe, 2 into 1 etc but the Conti's sound the best, real crisp and clean. Also love the blueing of the pipes where they come out of the heads. Great pressie.

There ya go Rob, we have something er.. in common.
The Suzuki was(only) $1784 if I remember rightly and as it got plenty of praise in the motorcycle press it probably swayed my thinking somewhat, not to mention the $800 odd dollars difference in price
