If that's the Boxer V, from what I've read, they're quite expensive (at least in the US) for what you really get. The fit and finish isn't supposed to be very good and the modular facepiece is not impact/protection rated. Seem to remember that it was very round shaped helmet, and was considered a bit uncomfortable by a few reviewers.

I do however think it's the coolest looking helmet made, it gives me a bit of a Star Wars vibe. That was one of the helmets I really looked into and researched. It would probably be my 1st choice if it wasn't for the facepiece issue.

***EDIT: I was thinking of a different helmet, the Airoh TR-1. See my post below.***

Actually, that's the Boxer V8.  Big improvements over the previous versions -- it's now ECE approved and has ventilation.

I'm getting one once (if) my tax return arrives.

It looks like this would have limited visibility, especially peripherally.

I need to amend my statement. I was confused... The not so great reviews and the bit about the modular part were for the Airoh TR-1.

Sorry about that.

Actually, the few jet-style helmets I've worn have better peripheral vision, like the Airoh TR-2:

the TR-2 fit well and flows a little air and the side view is good.

On the Roof Boxers even with venting on the V8 the air flow is increased up to "poor"...  The materials and finish are better but It's still a helmet with an Strong personality but lacking.  It's like a strangely attractive woman with horrible manners and personality that also wont ....

The Airoh is good but after fitting both I grabbed the Givi...  Better venting, good vision, couple different chin bars.

At days end none of the three can touch Shoei x11 or Bell star for all round quality, fit, finish and function, stability, but of the storm trooper attack lids, the Givi won hands down...

The helmet in the original post looks like it'd give you a pretty limited field of view.

True, or just the angle of the picture?

I remember looking into getting the Roof Boxer V8 extensively. I had even contacted vendors from Europe (I think it's either an italian brand of french... either way it's from Europe).

That's the Boxer V, the prior model. They change the closing mechanism on the side so it works more smoothly and closes and locks better. From the reviews I read I really wanted it but it was around 800+. A bit on the high side for a helmet where the convenience and quality is inferior to the other lids in the same price range. But for looks and style this lid wins hands down.

I ended up getting a Nexx XR1R Carbon: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/nexx-xr1r-carbon/ (http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/nexx-xr1r-carbon/)

Amazing reviews, one of the lightest helmets ever made, and quality is amazing. I've contacted several owners of this bucket and they all love it.

I've been riding with a Joe Rocket RKT 101 Carbon - Copper for all of last season. Loved the look but I took it a size too big and dropped it more than once so I refused to ride with it this season.

Sorry, change of plans.  I bought an '02 Bandit that's going naked.

I love it, specially in hot days, the only thing that I dont like is changing the visor... it's not as simple as changing it on my Arai, but beside that it's a wonderful helmet and looks awesome
