Just found this on youtube. Pretty shitty race day for these guys!

I was hoping so!
None of those guys were moving at the end!
Direct hit! 50 pts hi-score BONUS [moto]
There's NO WAY I'd go out and try to pick some guy's bike up and play human Frogger like that in the middle of a race. Somebody was asleep at the flag.

It's their job.
Nasty vid. I remember seeing that a few years ago. Maybe the old board? Who knows... Glad they all lived, never heard or read any follow up.
When I cornered for Apex to Apex at Grattan raceway{fully repaved now} the Can do Crew{Best corner workers on the planet } had a hard and fast rule: Never turn your back to on coming traffic.
More good thinking. The workers in that video weren't that smart.
Never been a corner worker but it seems that someone should have run back towards the apex of that turn and waved the racers to slow and take the inside line. I'm sure the racers exiting that corner couldn't see the on track workers and downed bike until the last second. And certainly weren't expecting it.
That was a nasty accident for sure.
As soon as that bike went down mid-track that race should have been immediately red flagged and all traffic should have been stopped.
Some was apparently either asleep at the flag or the radio or something.
Absolutely should have been red flagged. When I used to corner work CCS races we had a rule that corner workers weren't allowed to cross a hot track. Glad no one was killed.

Believe it or not that was a CCS/LRRS race.
My question: who the hell put that concrete wall on the outside of the corner?!!!

probably the same guy that decided it'd be a good place for a nascar event.

Is there a good place for a NASCAR event?

It helps keep the parts on the track.
It's best not to stare at the walls, even in videos.

That wall is nothing compared to what you see going in to T3.

T3 really isn't that bad. It's T10 that really should be adjusted?

I'd disagree, but what do I know.?
It is a visual/mental thing IMO.
To me, 3 has a lot more going on technically and visually...and therefore mentally.
10 is just like...how bad is the transition gonna hurt?

The wall in front of you doesn't get as close...hopefully. ;)

I wonder that every time I hit turn 12 at Road A. It really is an exercise in mental calisthenics
not to look at it.
(Glad everyone was ok)

The absence of target fixation solves many problems.

SO...does that dude watch the video of himself getting hit and pronounce "I'm Not Dead Yet!"...
sorry...I felt a moment of levity was required...
Google Rob Dages. He was pretty busted up, but did recover.
