Brand new rider
waiting on my red 696
Northern California
I Looked around some before walking into Ducati and fell hard for the 696. They had just unpacked the shop's very first shipment while I watched in San Rafael, CA. I had Duc's last on my list from the service reputation. But, I am done. A supportive and expert community like this sealed the deal.
Can't Wait
Can't Wait
Can't Wait
Can't F'ing WAIT!!!
Pic's when I can. I hope I can hold out on Mod's after a year or so, since as careful as I'll be - I might just scratch up anything fancy I do now. And, as a noob - what the heck do I know till I get some miles.
Anyway - thank you to the community. I will ramp up my contrib where I can. Really appreciate the riding techniques and the crash/lessons section.
johno
hi johno!
congrats on your decision to go with ducati
there are only a couple of mods you absolutely must do,
and one of them is free...
the reflectorotomy ;D
you will find a wealth of information here on the DMF
we like pics too when you get a chance :)
good luck with the 696!
Congrats! Welcome to the party. ;)
Welcome Johno, congrats on your new 696. [thumbsup] Make sure you check in at the MOB (http://ducatimonsterworldwide.org/index.php?board=19.0) and introduce yourself.
Hope to meet you soon, we'll have to organize another newbie-friendly ride one of these days. [moto]
Welcome
They don't look bad if you leave the reflectors on ;D
Welcome Johno, you are spot on about the community. I recently got my 696 and holding off expensive mods (termis) for at least 6 months. I did get CRG mirrors and speedymoto sliders. Haven't put them on yet, hoping the sliders would go on. The sliders seemed like a good idea, may be more experienced ducatisti can shed some light.
congrats and welcome [thumbsup]
