Hey monster lovers!
I'm a studying industrial designer trying to develop an in-transit Ducati Monster storage system for a school project.
To get some insight, I've made a short 8 question survey that will help me gain a better understanding of:
- the range of items you guys are actually carrying on you (if any)
- the kinds of rides during which you'd carry them
- the areas you store them while riding
You can fill out the survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PF9829R (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PF9829R)
This information will really help drive and refine my concepts/prototypes, so, if you you have a second, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
done and done

done, and here was my "perfect luggage" requests...
a back pack that could convert to a tank bag or a tail bag if i wanted it to. it would have to come with some kind of full face helmet holder for when i am off the bike (one of the main reason i got the no drag over a kriega), or at the very least be able to fit a full face helmet into the bag itself. a dry bag system or some form of waterproofing would be very nice, but can be optional for the dry bag. any kind of straps have to be able to be tucked away in some way so they wont flap, such as the waist belt... so if i dont want to use it and just use the chest strap, i can tuck it away. ezpass holder built into the right chest strap of the backpack so i dont need to worry about it not being read and can access it without letting go of the clutch. a modular luggage system like kriegas would be nice so i could add parts to create different luggage options if i felt like it. aka, the back pack becomes a tailbag and then i can strap on two more optional components to make saddlebags... and finally, figure out a way to make soft luggage secure from theft.
It's a pretty cool project. I just used Ducati as an example in a Strategic Management assignment last week.
done. Good luck with the project, I miss my design days [thumbsup]
done, and good luck!
Done & good luck!
My truck. The Monster is for fun. :D
