Favourite car you ask......probably an Aston Martin.......Vantage i would say...........
Favourite car owned....? Two here.........first in line would be my 1970 Renault R8 Gordini.......dam good car in its day........made to be rallied.........mine never saw a dirt road....(strange eh).........second is my 1972 Torana LJ XU1 quick again for its day but the Gordini would eat it for breakfast on the twisties........
this would be the secondon the list E-type

This may be of some interest to you.........the Hudson Terraplane Special half way down the page ended up in the garage next to where i lived.......the mechanic, Clive Gibson ended up owning it. I would take it out on veteran car rallies for him......The acceleration was incredible.......more than my XU1.......It was responsible for Bathurst Straight being renamed Conrod Straight as the article sais....is worth a look........!
http://aussieroadracing.homestead.com/Clive-Gibson.html (http://aussieroadracing.homestead.com/Clive-Gibson.html)
He shot a conrod clean out of the side of the block going down Bathurst Straight......hence the name,.."Conrod Straight.." One night he brought the conrod out to show us,....he had it chromed as a momento.....i would love to know what happened to it........Frank Kleinig would join us in the 70's on Friday nights for a few beers, which would get him talking about his racing days in the 30's and 40's......a lot of it at Mount Panorama when it was dirt. I vividly remember one of his yarns.........At McPhillamy Park, he rolled the Hudson end over end and was thrown 10 mtrs into the air and landed unharmed in the fork of a gumtree........he sat up there bruised, but amused as the marshalls looked everywhere for him.....after a few minutes one guy came to the conclusion that he must have disintegrated in the crash.....Frank then, politely informed them (with a few expletives ) where he was........his seatbelt was two thick pieces of rope......with a reef knot tied once he was in the cockpit.
Nice memories
1969 Pontiac Grand Prix - used to own one, it is now rotting in my father in laws yard. If I dig up a pic I will post, plus the other Pontiacs I used to own (5 in all over the years)...had a 1970 Grand Prix as well...

BMW M3...............probably M anything for that matter..............and throw in Porsche 911........................both classics for me ......quick , predictable handling and practical.......the only trouble with great cars is that they take up the same space as 4 bikes .in the garage..... [laugh] [laugh]
Datsun 120Y.
My Favorite car I've owned - 1968 HK Monaro
My favorite car I'd like to own - Porsche 911 GT3

In all seriousness, I would love a XB/XC GT Coupe. I want my LX SS Torana Hatchback back that I sold near on 20 years ago. Late 60's Monaro's, yep, one of each, 327 & 350's. E49 Charger [drool].
American, I would love a Plymouth barracuda or a Dodge Challenger. Mopar! Yeah baby!
Euro, BMW M3 CSL, Porsche GT3, Gumpert ;D.

Gee I miss my old XB GS Coupe. What an investment that would have been if I didn't sell it for $5k 15 years ago. [bang] [bang] [bang]
Or the 67 Mini Cooper S bored out to 1380 with a 45 side draft webber poking through the dash! [bang] [bang] [bang]
Mmmmmm wouldn't mind a 66 Mustang but alas tooo many people have them now. Maybe a 67 SS Camaro? But that is big bucks!

What, you weren't serious about the 120Y?
I got my models wrong, the 180B is what i should have wrote, closely followed by the Datsun Sunny. ;D
No brainer. Pure Australian Muscle.
1971 Ford XY GTHO Phase 3

Mmmmm I had a 180B. Every panel was a different colour, it was attacked by tin worm and every one on the road would stay well away from me. It was the best car to push into traffic. [laugh]
