Title: New Member of my Dainese Jacket Collection / Rebel
Post by: DoubleEagle on February 19, 2011, 11:48:06 PM
Just added this awesome Dainese sport riding leather jacket to my collection.

It goes by the name Rebel red.

It is made of D-skin Cowhide leather w, the usual compliment of Dainese CE Shoulder and Elbow/Fore Arm Armor...plus Titainium inserts in the Shoulders w, black Dainese logos on them for added protection.
Also there is a pocket in the back for a Dainese Back protector and in the front there are zippered pockets for Dainese Chest protectors.
Zip leather cuffs w ,leather w, snap closures. A leather w, velcro closure tab across the top of the Chest. Velcro waist adjusters.

It has the new Micro-down, Nano feel, removable liner for an even more comfortable cool weather element.

The Jacket is called red for this reason.

There are 2 large air flow zip vents in the top front of the chest w, 2 zip exhaust vents on the lower sides.

There are numerous areas of perforations on the back and back of the Arms for added air flow when the air vents are open.

2 deep front zip pocket , one zip inside pocket in the liner and one velcro pocket in the liner.
The Main lining of the Jacket is sanitized and has a zip pocket for a wallet or cell phone.

This Jacket also comes in a full perforated version w, the entire front and upper arms perforated.

As that I have many Ducati Corse and Dainese " perfed " Jackets already, this one will still give me plenty of air flow until it gets too hot for me to ride.

You're right Lars, I did title a post something about my collection of Dainese leather riding Jackets.

I should have included this Jacket.

If I put all the ones I have in it I think I'd get a lot of hate mail.

Let's just say it's my age on my next birthday divided by a number and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Dolph,
I just got my first Dainese jacket today: an all-black Dainese Alien.  I can see why you are so impressed with their products.  I love my new jacket.  Impeccable quality.  I just need some good riding weather now so I can enjoy it!  It seems like it's never going to stop raining!

redeng,

Have hope my Dainese loving Bro.

I have seen the Crocus in bloom and it's forecast to be in the the 60s for 4 days and little chance of rain FINALLY... so maybe I will even get to ride as well as you .

Take good care of your new jacket , and it will take care of you.

Any questions, just ask.

Hopefully I'll be killing bugs with the new jacket very soon so I can ask you the best way to clean them off!

A wet sponge..not dripping wet...then a dry bath towel to dry off the leather .

If you ride a lot , Condition the leather after cleaning by wiping it all over w, Lexol available from Auto Parts Stores for about $10.

Comes in a dark brown plastic spray container.

Simply spray several sprays into a sponge and wipe it on the leather , repeat until you have completely covered the entire leather.

It will absorb into the leather , but I usually massage it in which takes about 5 minutes using the sponge.

Then just hang it up away from direct heat and it will be ready to go the next day.

It should feel tacky and soft.

Do that every 2 weeks.

Thanks, Dolph.  So this Lexol product is fine for the D-skin leather?

Yes, works great on D-skin or any type of luxury leather.

I use it on some leather Jackets form Salvatore Ferragamo and Ralph Lauren Black Label that cost a bundle. .
