I was wondering how long it'd take before the "Cold Beer" comment would appear.

Great topic. I drink dark beers. Murphy's on tap if I can find it, other wise Guiness works. Asahi dark when I'm in Japanese joints. What's the beer to get while I visit? I want to try the best and the most ghetto. Gotta try them all to know a place.

VB. Its piss. Actually thats insulting piss. But its popular amonsgt the bogans and can be found on tap anywhere.
Tsingtao is another good beer - made by the Chinese - 8 billion of them cant be wrong.....
I know the Boss loves her Chimay Blue ... the Red and White no so much (I think one was just OK, the other horrible).
James Squire Amber Ale, Fat Yak, coopers sparkling and for home brew, Malsters Shovel Amber Ale, a James Squire clone recipe by Brewer's Choice, putting another lot down this week.
You're all wrong ( although if you're buying I drink any of the aforementioned - 'cepting VB of course [puke] ).
Urquell Pilsner from the Czech Republic is without doubt the best beer ................................................. in the world [drink].

Can't drink beer so Guinness it is for me. [drink]
We have a rule at work (which I instigated) - a different beer each week - lucky we have a Dan Murphy close by.
I've drunk some very interesting and differing beers over the years due to this rule.
The Czech beers are good, as are a lot of German and Belgum beers.
And there is a shitload of great local beers as well.
Right now I have a reasonably unhealthy obsession with James Squire golden ale, but any most Squires at the moment!

Yes, me and my mate Simon use that rule and it just adds to the enjoyment, we also have a loose rating system in place which kinda runs like this.

Beer and I are not on speaking terms at the moment.
I went to my brother in laws bucks night last weekend. While there I made friends with a Boags Premium. Trouble is he brought around several of his mates and they kicked the absolute shit out of me!
The way I felt the next day means I haven't forgiven them yet. [puke]
Maybe we will make up at the wedding next weekend. Otherwise I'll start an illicit affair with the wine. [wine]
I was wondering when Boags Premium would get a mention, its my favourite or Carlton Draught if I can't get the Boags.
I also found any common cheap beer in Czech /Slovakia /Poland to be excellent.
Is ginger beer permissable in here Mmick..............? [beer]

Used to like Kilkenny years ago but then it became popular and they changed the recipe to keep up with demand and I don't like the taste anymore.

Until recently Peroni was my favourite, thought it tasted different, check the label its no longer imported (major resellers) it brewed under license by Coke... >:( Check the label its just not the same now.
Blue Tongue is my favourite tap beer (if you can find it) and Asahi in a bottle. As long as they are ice cold [thumbsup]

quite a few beers in that lot, which one's did you buy? How did you rate them?
I tried using the site search engine to find them but all I got was places in Vic-bloody-toria, anyone else seen this beer for sale anywhere, dont really want to go to the races to quaff a few beers.

Has anyone noticed more and more boutique beers on the market.
It's fantastic.

Highly recommend this beer Mick.....i usually drink Coopers red but Balmain Brewery's drop is my beer of the month. Definately not cheap at $18 for a four pack but well worth it. Am yet to sample their Pilsener, maybe be tomorrow night.......

Dragon, I was there having lunch last week [drink] Had to buy a case of their Otway Stout as I can only get their beers at home. It would be a great spot to ride to for lunch come summer. Within reach for me and all the Melb OzMos. All sealed roads and great food.

My fave is my wife's home brew from last years production of her "Old Peculiar" stout recipe, black as the ace of spades and 7.6% proof (accidental). Two bottles and your completely legless, it creeps up on you, then jumps your back and proceeds to bury your face in the dirt. I only have 2 dozen left now.
