Title: Lost Keys , Locksmith , Red Key lost
Post by: J5 on March 18, 2011, 05:39:40 PM
no i havent lost my keys

just some info

ad in the local rag for Locksmith sprouting about car keys with chips

stopped by there today

J.Lock Mobile Locksmith
8/8 Forge st Blacktown 96214318

can clone existing chipped keys of all brands cars and bikes

$100 for the ducati key , cut and cloned ,

this means if you dont have red keys it doesnt matter as you will have a clone of your current key

asking about making chip keys from ECU's basically yes possible , some risks , half cost of new replacement , no win no fee deal

There is another locksmith in booth st anandale that can do similar from past info found

old school for the win $5 for an old school honda bike key  [thumbsup] and it works  [moto]

have been to these guys before 2 letterbox keys from the number $7

so basically if you only have 1 chipped key , go spend the $100 before it becomes 10X the cost

Good info.
It was always a fear of mine when I had the 620.
I guarded my key with my life.

Interesting.

So who is willing to be our test pilot and blow $100 to see if this works?

Teff! You're standing there with your hands in your pockets, go down to the locksmith and see if what J5 said is right, ok Rob you can go with him and hold his hand.

I got 2 copies of my ducati key made by Minto Locksmiths for (if I remember correctly) about .  .  . um .   .  .  well I can't actually remember, but it was less than the figures mentioned above. It took a few weeks though to get the blanks in which meant two visits.

Sing this to he tune of Macho man by the village people [roll]

Mino; there’s no T in Mino
Mino; there’s no T in Mino

Pit bulls in the backyard, car wreck in the front.
Swinging on the clothesline, a snot nosed little runt.
Parents are so proud of, his cunning little stunt.
And I’m off to the local, for a schooner and a punt.
Jimmy’s on the pokies, he’s a Minto man.
Trying to win a fortune, or anything he can.

Oy, Oy, Oy Oy Oy
Minto Minto man.
I want to be, a Minto man.
In Minto Minto land.
I want to live in Minto.

Mino; there’s no T in Mino
Mino; there’s no T in Mino

Townhouse after townhouse, stretch across the sky.
Dealers at the station, solicit passers by.
Police attend a break in, at Sarah Redfern High.
And I’m off to the local, for a schooner and a pie.
Tony’s playing pool, he’s a Minto man.
Hustles everybody, for anything he can.

Oy, Oy, Oy Oy Oy
Minto Minto man.
I want to be, a Minto man.
In Minto Minto land.
I want to live in Minto.

Doggy, do you like it doggy?
Doggy, do you like it doggy?

Young lad does a runner, in his birthday suit.
While her hubby hits the driveway, it’s time for him to scoot.
Yes It’s Friday night in Minto, I don the dancin boots.
And I’m off to the local, for a schooner and a root.
Sally is a barmaid; she’s a Minto chick.
Flirting with the patrons, they say she loves the dick.

Oy, Oy, Oy Oy Oy
Minto Minto man.
I want to be, a Minto man.
In Minto Minto land.
I want to live in Minto.

Repeat chorus

Hey, settle down guys, I have feelings you know.   :'(

I highly resemble these fatuous stereotypes being depicted here. I'll have to get blind  [drink] now and  [puke] so I feel better.

OMG I can't believe you all know where Minno is...
They had the best hardware ever, which was next to Minno locksmith. I remember dad buying nails and screws by weight and the shop assistant would wrap it up for you in newspaper.
Minno Mall is a very sad place too, I went there a little while back after several years and was very shocked at how derelict the place was.

I remember that store, their was also one like it in Ingleburn, the guy would recondition your taps while you wait, $5 a pop.

Read in the local rag, the owners went bankrupt a few years ago. All victims of Bunnings and Westfields.

The owners did go south but there was a lot more to the story, they also ripped off all the tenants for years and years until they stopped paying rent and it all got uglier from there.
But yes I remember fondly Minno and Ingleburn Fair also.

Grew up in Scrambletown, lived in Bradbury and Ruse, then spent time in my first share flat in Leumeah
Worked at The Chronicle for 2.5 yrs along with many other western newspapers. So you could say I'm a westy from way back.
Ugg boots and flanno's were uniform.
