Granted it's in Jersey but US none the less :P
Good friend of mine and rabid Ducatisti Brian Peterson, custom builder of awesome things such as

(http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5138/5459970092_9676224040.jpg) His Buell
has just started a shop in Jersey to import Radical Ducati parts/bikes. The shop's called AreteMoto. He's still getting the interior of the shop set up and will be open pretty soon. Also the only Radical shop in the US and damn sure easier to get an email back from than Radical in spain.
If there is enough interest I'm sure I could talk to Brian and get some info on a group buy. No parts list on the site yet but they'll have all the Radical parts available and I've gotten a peek at the price list and it's quite reasonable (picking up quite a few things for my M900 build ;D)

What's with the "Monstersedici" moniker? It only has four valves, not 16.

Actually it has 8. ;) That's an S4R motor.
Agreed that the name makes no sense though. Funny how they even explain in the article that sedici means 16, but don't say why that's relevant. :P

I know that, heck, I have one.
Whats up guys,
The bike was named the Monstersedici because it was the 16th production year of the Monster, and a play on the much bigger and more famous Sedici in the Ducati fam.
The engine was originally from a 2001 996.

I've got my personal build going on currently, and it's getting a Radical tank and seat :D and I know Bryan (I've apparently been spelling his name wrong) has some cool shit planned for the next few weeks. After I get the stuff I'll post up pics [evil]

Never heard of a radical anywhere near that price range.
There was that carbon framed 999 being passed around the interwebs for a while that was that price. The Radical stuff is surprisingly cheap compared to normal replacements for parts (aside from the fancy alu frames which get a bit pricey). Most of the price involved in getting the parts from Spain was the shipping, which is why I quite dig them being in the US. Not only because I know the guy doing it but because I can finally buy a $100 part without the extra $100 shipping.

very interested. pics pics.
The best part of the Radical Ducati parts is that for less then $2,000.00 you can do a complete makeover on your bike, and in the world of Ducati $2k is not bad.
They do have complete ground-up builds, the Alu Framed, Carbon Bodied, 999 Powdered Rad called the "UNO" is the top of the line bike and it goes for 35,000.00Euros. Most of there ground-up bikes are from 15,000.00 to 25,000.00Euros, but will be much less here in the States
I can't wait to see the available parts! [thumbsup]

I'm in need (want) of Radical's Montjuich front fairing and bracket for my 749. I like their bellypan thats on the Rad Uno as well. Availability in the states would save a HUGE amount of money on shipping. I can't wait.

I've been interested in the rad tanks for a while.
I have been thinking it shouldn't be too hard to fit in place of the stock 696/1100 tank, with moving the tank rubber mounts, and a new rear mounting bracket, maintaining the stock seat (with some modification to the pan/foam.
Any idea whether this is a possibility? I haven't been able to get a tank to size up and see, but now that there's a place in the US, Ka-Ching!
And their bellypans are some of the best fitting (visually) for the 2v motors

Nice. Seeing as that's a 4-valve motor (assuming S4R)...I'm guessing you can put a 748 motor in it? [evil]
The motor that is in this bike is an 848 with a dry clutch and a 1040 big bore kit, but there are a few mods needed to make this engine and swingarm work. The 748/916/996 and the 749/999 and even the 1098 engine will fit with some small mods the the area of the cases where the swingarm pivot goes through the engine.
These frames are really set up for the air cooled motors and monster style swingarms.
What wheels are those on the bike?
They look incredible.

What are the small mods needed? Reboring the cases isn't really a "small mod". I'm def interested in the frame now....can it be stamped with the ### of my choosing so I can ride it on the street?
Looks good, but how about an actual side shot instead of the "myspace" angles?

+1. Are the mods required be that the pivot hole be moved to the 'upper' location on the crankcase 'ellipse' area from the 'lower' position used by the superbike crankcases? And "width" shims since the bearings aren't in the cases like normal, but instead in the swingarm itself on those bikes?
I want to know about the feasibility of "moving" a pivot hole in the crankcases myself.

Looks pretty good. Nose looks a bit low, like it will hit the fender under full compression. Might just be the angle though.
Thanks for the pic(s)!
Yeah you would need to bore the engine cases, or the bottom of the frame can be modded to be more like a 999 style. This way you would not need to touch your engine. The frame can be made to fit your engine and swingarm when ordered, but I think its easier to bore the cases.
They also have Aluminum Frames for Monster http://www.radicalducati.com/index.php?page=diciembre-2006 (http://www.radicalducati.com/index.php?page=diciembre-2006)
And the front fairing is not in the right place yet, there are a lot of small styling changes done to the nose and tail before the bike is done.

you let me know a place that bores cases "easily" to change the location of the swingarm pivot hole on the ellipse, high-to-low or vice-versa, and I'll be sending them an empty set of crankcases "tomorrow" (and by tomorrow I mean the very day i finish removing all the "innards", and such).
Well I said easier not easily, and anyone with a Bridgeport should be able to mill the cases. Theres probably a dozen machine shop in my area that can do it, so when you get that bottom end apart let me know and ill give you some names.

You are planning on mocking the engine up/marking it in the actual frame....correct?
yes - so its both up/down and forward/backward correct.

Methinks it would be easier to mod the frame. There are a lot more people with welders than there are people with mills... and you don't have to gut the engine to do it.
Yes alot of people welders and alot of people can weld, but the frame is aluminum and when aluminum is welded it gets soft so the more times you cut/weld/mod the frame the softer the alloy gets. So again its up to you but ether way milling the cases or re-heat treating the frame its not easy, but that all the fun of custom building a bike ;D

Any Updates?
I've had my 749RAD for a year now and everything has been spot on! On the tanks, I'd rather go for the hand shaped metal or carbon tanks. The fibreglass ones are quite nice however I'd keep it for the track only.
I wish I would have gone for the custom Radical Ducati chassis at the time, would have snipped a bit of weight off the bike.
As it is, the bike is drop dead gorgeous and it weighs very very little. BTW the nose cone will not touch the front fender even with the clamps dropped on the forks.
I only regret the fat 62mm headers as the lower fairing scrapes on right handers when I've got her on her ear. ;D
