Title: New Owner from Raleigh, NC
Post by: cajunajun on March 21, 2011, 11:15:50 AM
Name: Anthony
Location: Raleigh, NC (near Wake Forest)
Bikes: 2007 Monster 695 Dark
How long you've been riding: 1 month

Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself to the rest of the Monster owners crew. I feel like a kid in a candy store every time I look at and start up this bike. Originally had my eyes on a Honda Hawk GT as I wanted a naked bike as my first bike. When I first saw and heard a Monster with Termi's on it I fell in love and just had to have one. So I took the MSF and the week after I found a Dark for sale and knew she was the one. Bought off a really cool guy in the Army stationed at Fort Bragg. I've since named her Monica, because she reminds me of Monica Bellucci.  [drool]

If there are any other Duc/Monster owners in the Triangle NC area, hit me up, I'm always looking for an excuse to ride.

P.S. - I'm looking to add a Monza belly pan to the bike, having trouble figuring out if the engine mounts that the belly pan would mount to are the same on a 620 as most of the belly pans seem to say they're compatible with a 620, but make no mentionings of being able to fit on a 695. If anyone can shed some light on that for me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome, great looking bike.  I would guess that the mounts are the same for the 620 and 695, but don't know that for a fact.

Welcome. Not sure about that part of NC, but there's definitely some around. M-Roc would be a good place to ask

As far as your fitment question - save for ECUs and some engine internals the 695 and 620 are identical. So the belly pan will fit, anything listed for a 620 will fit. Just remember there's some brackets used to support the pan, it doesn't bolt right to the case.
