Anyone want to do a Deckers run tomorrow morning, then head back here to the Springs for the Vintage bike show?? Be back in time for the roll out to GOG between 1-2? [moto]
I will, of course, be at the show all day. Just in case there's any confusion, the "ride" through Garden of the Gods is mostly for the vintage bikes that will be in the show. I'm sure they wouldn't exclude anybody else who WANTED to accompany them, but it's just gonna be a slow putt through the Garden, and back.
My Mom is coming into town tonight, I know she's curious to meet the crew. Got a baptism tommorow at 1 so we might have to pull out early, but we'd enjoy going a portion of the ride. Want to meet at Montegues early?

Nice pics and vids bonfy, thanks for posting! I saw you guys at the light of 26th street and Cimarron. You were on your way to the show, and I'd been sent out for propane so we could grill the brats and dogs!
If I'd known you were grilling brats I'd have round up a couple from my neighborhood. [evil]
Yea, thanks for finding the bolt for my gear shift...it fell off, and he found it about 20 yards back. Lucky Bonfy also had the tool to put it back on! [clap]
[popcorn]
Lucky because the same thing happened to me in the middle of nowhere down by Lincoln, NM. I had to use the nail file on my baby swiss army knife and a yard of electrical tape for good measure to keep the bolt on till I got home. (It was a MacGyver moment). Now I carry that Allen wrench with me all the time. [thumbsup]
That was sure fun! Wish we'd have had more time. Sorry I didn't get to meet Smitch this trip, but there will be many more.
nice pics chicka!! looks like u guys had some fun, im so jealous!!!

and cooleye..babe, u need some cans!! were is that wonderful noise we luv to hear from monsters [cheeky]
Yea, I just have the stock (can I use that word on this board??) cans on the bike still! I like to think I will save the money instead for a new bike, and just leave the stock stuff on there... [thumbsup]

Barely missed ya bonfy! Saw you and the boys on Hwy 24 when I was sent on an errand for the shop. Then you guys were leaving when I got back.
Next time you won't be so lucky. DucMouse, Dusty, and I will hightail it up there unannounced and put a spankin' on ya SoCo DOGs. There'll be no outmanuevering the Posse.

I too spotted Bonfy on Hwy 24 at Platte headed West, Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. She was posse-less, but still sporting that nice red Monster with the New Mexico plate. Sorry Smitch and I both missed out on meeting you and your posse. Keep us posted on your next SoCo voyage and we'll have to arrange a rondevous with the SoCo DOGs. [thumbsup]
Yeah, she'd have been heading from my brothers out in Calhan, to my house(downtown) at that time. She was hopeful to meet everyone, but hey, it's an excuse to make the trip again. Not that she needs one, I think she's around 17k miles on the two Monsters combined over the last year. She refuses to commute on it too so that's all fun time, ride time. Iron-butt Bonfy [moto] [laugh]
Cool! Can't wait! I'm surprised you could tell it was a Duc under all that luggage!
Cargo up!

I don't really refuse to commute, it's just that it adds about 20 minutes of prep time before work which I never seem to have. I have to unchain the monster from under the stairwell, uncover and stow all that, try and get everything I need for work into a backpack, gear up, [moto] ;D , geardown, oh, wait a minute, I suppose alot of people do that. But how would I drink coffee, put on my makeup, and jam out in the ducati dodge which stokes me for another 12 hour night. Plus the mornings were pretty chilly at 6AM up till the last week or so. Okay, I am a lazy wimp. I am going to have to start commuting, that's all there is to it. [thumbsup]
Dang, the big hairy guy is choking the $%&! out of that dragon dude. Pretty brutal stuff. Come on guys, this is a family site!

I saw the red trellis frame and in a nanosecond I was like, "Dude, that's a Monster, wait saddle bags, yellow plate, chick riding, holy smokes that's Bonfy, she really does exist" and bam you were gone.
I commute most days with an eye towards the weather (I don't like hailstorms much). Anyway it is a pain to gear up, saddle up and gear back down, carry helmet to work, yadda yadda, but it all comes together on the ride home from work. All the office a$$ pain goes away by the time I'm home.
Happy trails!
