Title: Newb....Pucker Factor not withstanding......
Post by: GuruPC on March 30, 2011, 10:53:59 PM
Hello
I chose GuruPC as this handle as I will use my involvement in Ducatis and events as promotional but If I had to pick one based on myself I would use the handle 'HasB33n' as I have in other arenas.
I am 50 YO and the last time I rode was 30 years ago. I had a Seca 750 try to worm itself out from underneath me at 110 mph (Speed Wobble) when I was too young to understand that it was my own damn fault, as I remember I was wearing sneakers, Jeans, T-Shirt, sunglasses, and a smile right up to the point that I tripped over my own dick.
Luckily the god that has had such a sense of humor over many of my prior exploits, smiled once again on my stupidity and granted me another day without road-rash up the kazoo and my interests drifted elsewhere for reasons that I can't recall, due to a massive dose of the 80s.
Now however, I find myself short on personal time and in an economy where hobby time is split between cheap thrills and guessing which check will win the race with the money being deposited.
Well...maybe it's not as bad as that but it feels that way sometimes.
I bought a Duc because of reasons that live with everyone that can look themselves in the eye every morning in the mirror and ask....."will this get me laid?"...er....I mean...."How can I relax with only a few hours at a time available to me here and there". The answer is of course....take your vacations a few hours at a time and a motorcycle is the only way I know that it is possible.
If you are going to follow this logic then why waist your time with inferior hardware.....no, ducati for me thanks!

Hahah - great intro man. Welcome too the board.

You'll find that the age demographic here won't wake you feel as old as you might think. We've got our kids of course, but generally there's a touch of grey in most members hair, if we still have it.

So here's a question for you - what did you buy?
