Now, I do not own a chatterbox nor do i plan to buy one. But I am looking for a cheap solution to be able to speak with my passenger. My wife and I have unlimited mobile to mobile minutes so using our cell phone would suffice.
What I'm looking for is a headset/mic that would reduce the wind noise and install inside the helmet comfortably. This unit for the chatterbox seems to fit the bill if it works.
Can someone with a chatterbox XBi try and connect their speaker/mic cable directly into their iphone? does the mic and speaker work as it would with a regular phone headset?
I would prefer this option if possible as I do not want another thing to charge and money is very tight as is.

Check out the UClear HB100. I have a pair of them for myself and whoever is wearing the passenger helmet. They work great as helmet to helmet communicators, great as stereo playback from iphone via blutooth (turn by turn gps, phone calls, and music). They don't use a microphone boom, the mic is part of the ear-speaker assembly. I am very satisfied with it. Good battery life as well.
