I went last year and didn't see any of you other DFWMF-ers there...so I ate your crawdads...and I'm not sorry! :P
This year I think I'll stop for a beer somewhere afterwards.

Prob 1
Around one o'clock for me
I must confess: My dreams were filled with boiled crawfish last night... [beer]
What were you doing in my dream?
Unfortunately, there is no beer at these ML shindigs, and they are held in the open parking lot within view of I-35E, so I don't Audrey would approve of her guests bringing beer, and standing around with open containers. We should locate a convenient watering hole where we can go afterwards to cleanse the cayenne pepper and mudbug remains from our palates. [drink]
[popcorn]
M, being a crawfish aficionado, has deemed it necessary to "get her mudbug on". We shall be there or we shall be square.
we'll see you girls around 1 to 1:30
I'd love to take the Cajun Princess to this but alas we have junior's baseball games to go to. Sorry to miss this. >:( Will, tell M howdy and I hope she is mending well. [thumbsup] I'm sure a few mudbugs will aid in her recovery! ;D
Mmmmm... mudbuggy goodness... [beer]
Good fun for sure. The DFWM forum was well represented; great to catch up with y'all. But I really must admit, the next time I have crawfish they will be previously disected... The whole process was a bit... um, gross [laugh] Geez, can't take me anywhere!
Don't worry Lisa. Being a Pac NW native, the process of discectting these little critters is foreign to me. Seems like WAY too much dirty work to me. M's Asian genes trump my cracker upbringing in these matters so I just go with the flow.
[laugh] [laugh] [clap] [clap]
I guess it is pretty gross if you think about it... Wendy and I have never really bothered to do that, though. ;)
if only you knew where they live and grow.

As with sausage, if you like 'em, don't ask too many questions.

Maybe the next ride needs to end at the new Dodie's on Greenville Ave. Crawfish etoufee is a lot easier way of getting crawfish in your mouth, and the Dubliner is right across the street.
Man, I love crawfish etouffee. Margeux's etouffee is good and so is Pappadeux's. Can't say I've tried it at Dodie's. Proximity to The Dubliner is always a plus... So, when is this happening? ;D

Mmmm... Crawfish étouffée + bike ride! [thumbsup]
Maybe this needs to be one of those mid-week get-togethers. I don't think I can wait for the next ride.
The problem with the Dodie's next to the Dubliner is, it ain't open yet. [bang] But it should be good when it does open.
The original is still open on Lower Greenville, opposite Whole Foods:

Plan it, Grasshopper, and they will come. [evil]
