Title: SSSA Rear Stand
Post by: wrxmy99 on April 17, 2011, 04:51:52 AM
Hey there all

Anyone in SYD interested in going halvies in this 2 for $160 + $27.70 shipping deal?

Normally $110 each + shipping (which is still cheap...should I be concerned?)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260729045884&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2840wt_800 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260729045884&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2840wt_800)

Any opinions on these and failing that any recommendations for SSSA rear stands for the new tard?

Yes the Monster is no more and a HM1100S is sitting in its place...hope I can still pop out for an OzMo ride once and a while - 200m behind the pack of course ;)

Got me enough stands, but it's great that you are on a bike again.
If you come out on rides with us you'll be stopping for fuel more often than the S4Rs  [cheeky]

Too true Matty.  You're always aware of how many clicks since last fill up.

At a leisurely pace I can get 200 before the reserve light comes on but, as I'm sure you know, she gets thirsty if you open the taps up.

CA Cycleworks make a 6 gallon tank (double the size of the OEM) that externally looks the same.  $800 USD but getting one shipped here is agro due to the size.

It would be agro but well worth it I'd say.
If I could get a tank that didn't take away from the look of my bike I'd have one in a flash.

Yep me too, but as the person in question now has a new toy without an SSS it could be a while  :P

I ordered one of these for my husbands new 848 and he is impressed with my purchase.

He is however not impressed that he has a stand and no bike to go with it :(

If you are in Sydney you could save some freight and pick it up

Just an FYI guys n gals that I got one of these (the other is off home to two dogs to hold up his "quiet" S2R)

For what they are the quality, sturdiness and fit seems all good so far.

If you're after a cheap no frills stand I'd recommend them.

Cheers
