Hey Guys,
I know that there are a few pic threads going around, but I found pics of some really clean monsters and it gave me an idea. Post up some pics of the most stripped down and cleanest monsters you have seen. That means no bellypans, windscreen, smog stuff, etc. Just monsters that lack all of that extra stuff that you don't really need. I'll start with a few that I just saw:

I'd post my own bike in here, if not for fear of flame by the new monster haters.

I like that black & gold 900!!!

Any Flight Cycles bike. If you ever get to see one in person you will see what I mean. Stu has a way of hiding and cleaning up wiring like I have never seen before. (haha get it..)
The exhaust on this one absolutely kills me... such craftsmanship.

[laugh] the intent of the thread was to post completely stripped down monsters like:
so I guess in a sense it could be a filtered version of the official bikes of the dmf thread...lol
I was trying to collect as many photos as I could of stripped monsters to get ideas for my next monster......it sort of has turned into another bikes of the dmf thread though hasn't it [laugh]

I hate to be a downer, but I'm gonna do it. I like the rear tail piece, but the tank looks terrible. It is a traditional style tank like you would see on a Triton, but it is bent up to follow the lines of the Monster frame instead of having the flat bottom lines it should have. The rear three-quarters view is a flattering angle. If we saw this bike directly from the side it is going to look even worse.
exact thoughts as travman.........I love everything about it but the tank. I would like to see the stock tank (maybe bare and polished) to see how it looks. I know I'm biased, but I think it's hard to improve upon the monster tank........that's what drew me the monster in the first place

Considering that the guy built the tank, seat, and tail piece completely by hand is pretty sweet. Way beyond anything I can do. I still like it.
These are the only other pictures I saw of the tank:

I've actually taken the roadracing exhaust off and gone back to my low mount, microns.
I loved the look of the roadracing exhaust, but it was too loud. I put some cheap baffles in, which helped some, but still too much for me. I guess I'm just getting old.

I replaced the OEM reservoir with a smaller dirtbike reservoir. It's located behind the headstock.

I'd like it more if you could see more river and guard rail between the heads. ;)

Is that Jeff's bike?
What bellypan is this? It is on an s4r, right?

Awesome bike! What kind of tires are those? Are they better for bad roads ?

I think this might be my favourite. I love how minimalist it is.

With the dry clutch, wide swing arm and the fairing lugs on the frame, I'd guess it's a 1098/1198.

Might not be a Monster, but, wao!!

Boner inspiring... Nice find.
749/999 frame and subframe
If I'm not mistaken the 1X98/848 frame tubes are larger.

Justy looking at that bike causes a drop in testosterone levels.

Painted the motor white. Painted the oil filter white. LEFT the aluminum fin 'biscuits' in before painting.
Has this person NEVER tried to clean a white bike?!? These obviously stay indoors...
Again, not a Monster, but, a 748 . . .
