Ryno motors out of Portland OR is developing an electric unicycle for the scooter crowd. I look at it as if it were a moped, and try to imagine the sportbike version.
Looks like something to get into trouble on..... [evil]
....I'd at least demo one!!
reminds me of the Uno that the kid is developing...

would I?
only as a highly compensated circus act
I like but will it be more than a Segway?

yup, I could definitely get arrested on that...same reason I don't own a supermoto - although at least on a sumo you'd be really hard to catch [evil]
Its like a Segway for fat kids, you don't have to stand while moving around.

the specs say it will carry up to 280 lbs...which leads to some very amusing imagined visuals. [laugh]

Site sez you can have one of the 50 pre-production bikes for $25k with a $6k deposit [roll]
Kinda pricey for a electric "bicycle"
Probably fun to ride, tho
kinda takes doing wheelies out of the picture tho [cheeky]
But it cuts the cost of tire replacement by 50%
and eliminates the potential for tank-slappers
I kept thinking that it would be a bit inconvenient to carry a 'paddock' stand around all the time ... but apparently you park it by standing it on its tail.
Oh and in the video he keeps referring to it as a 'bike' ... I think he means 'unike'.
Reminds me of the unicycle scooter in the movie The Lorax. Not electric but similar enough.
Also, I wonder about the scenario when the gyro balancing system fails. Probably the same for the segway. It seems a bit bulky to carry around (trains, elevators, etc.).
it's 50% less bulky than your motorcycle... [thumbsup]

Ya got me there! Less too than the Segway but it seems this one could be pared down a bit especially the tire. Maybe the tire has to be that wide for stability.
