A coworker's now-6-year-old child is a cancer survivor, and he handed me a flier for this the other day... thought I'd share it, since I know most of you are softies at heart. ;)
The 2nd Annual...

Saturday, June 4th
Starts from Paradise Harley-Davidson in Tigard
Ends at the CCA Caring Cabin in Pacific City
I have no street legal bike right now, otherwise I'd be going. Regardless, thought someone on here might be interested in going for a ride and supporting a charitable cause.
Happy motoring... [moto]
The Caring Cabin is a sweet house. Just up the street from me. If anyone is riding in this event, stop by. Or anyone riding to Pacific City is welcome to stop by.
Well... there's an affordable Cagiva Gran Canyon I'm gonna go look at this weekend (if it hasn't sold before I get there). So... there is an small chance I'll have a bike after all. In which case I'll be trying to make this ride.
If I'm out that way, I'll definitely post up, and stop by the BnB. [thumbsup]
For those on Facebook, here is a video of my coworker's kid cutting the ribbon at last year's ride kickoff...

Poor kid... had some kind of "-blastoma", and it was in one of his eyes. They had to remove it, and he went through chemo to make sure he didn't have it anywhere else. Thankfully, he's been cancer-free for a couple years now.
Dan, why don't you just streetfighter your salvage CBR for the time being? A few weekends and a few hundred dollars should ahve it up and running. With no bodywork, who cares about the gravel?
Scott
Couple reasons why I haven't street-fightered the CBR. One, it's still a sportbike, and a twitchy one at that. Would not be fun on a gravel road, bodywork or not. Two, it doesn't fit me very well. At this point I'd like my brothers to buy it off me. I don't have the time for a trackbike, and I'd rather spend that money on a bike more suited to the riding I want to do. We'll see how things work out...
