1/2 of a set of rod bearings?!? As if someone blew the rod in to pieces and these are the mating surfaces... or what's left of 'em.
all i've got is "make the beast with two backsed up"
looks like it was rattling around for a bit.
unless the edges are supposed to be rounded off and uneven like that.
Harris Hill Road, 06 Cayman S, professional driver oil starved it on turn one.

Tell your client to call Raby, and get something built much better for the same money.
BC.

Turns out the bearing failure was due to the rod bolts failing. Most likely going with carillo crank and rods in the new one.
Raby may be good but he's certainly not as godlike as he makes himself out to be. I can build these motors in my sleep.

anything can be done with enough time and a big enough hammer
And a torch.

no, that is pretty much limited to insurance fraud.

Trail 90 ?? ;)
Anyone here old enough to remember Honda trail 90's ( the ones with the step thru frame), damn things would run forever.
Which proves the adage that "engine life is inversely proportional to horsepower". Since a trail 90 produces almost no power it's life span is almost forever.

I rode them at the Honda dealer I worked at.
We did the set-ups and then had mini bike races in the warehouse...never in the dirt though. ;D
raises hand as well.
I own two of them. after i ride the ST alot and then get on the 90 they are scary to say the least.
love them in the dirt on trails. I think that's why my 40yo VW bug still runs strong 50hp baby! [cheeky]

Used to have a 70.
Now, where are the new mystery parts of the day?!!!
Between 11:15 and 11:37
I'll have to get right on it. Don't really have much interesting right now but that could change any day. Spent all day last Friday replacing a battery in a Carrera GT, currently halfway through a rebuild on a GT3 engine that got a little hot, and today I was replacing a main wiring harness on a 996 that got chewed on. I'll try to come up with something creative for all yall yahoos.
Utmost Love, Jon.
Just saw the last few posts, I rode a couple trail 90's around Mexico a little bit, though contrary to a previous post, they both gave up the ghost.
To continue the thread-jacking (might as well have something to read until Jon returns w/a mystery part):
Flight Cycles *very* first paying customer was the resurrection of an early 60's grey-market Honda Trail 70. Never had so much fun @ 22mph! Wheeeee!!!!
