Title: If this guy's on a 848 ...
Post by: IdZer0 on May 29, 2011, 01:17:31 PM
...,I guess the other ones are riding mopeds.

Ducati 848 onboard video - Oulton Park - Mike 'Spike' Edwards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nnsTs_G2pU#normal)

Apparently he's a British national champion.

I wonder how 'stock' his bike is; I guess pretty standard as the ducati challenge doesn't allow a lot of changes except for suspension internals.

He seems to be breaking pretty deep into those corners, really skilled guy bet he was having a blast though.

Is the steering normally that crazy during aggressive riding?

Yes  ;D
At least, it is on my 1098. Happens when I get up in the rev range - there's more of a top end rush with the Testa Evo motors than older Duc motors I've been exposed to.

That rider is really impressive. What I noticed most was how smooth he is. I doubt he's even at a 90% pace (for him) in this video.

Rumblestrips (or other bumps), headshake, and wheelies can cause the bars to flop around a bit.

Wow, this guy is really impressive. All that fork shaking WITH a dampener.

This guy has huge balls and loads of skill.

You think that headshake is bad.  Try it without the damper.  Its all over the place.

It's worth spending 13 minutes just watching his right hand.  Skilz.   [bow_down]
