unless otherwise wanted this year we will ride the three sisters both saturday and sunday. usually someone trailers down. whoever does we will need them to bring the food and beer down with them. they WILL NOT PAY for all the food and beer. you must by your own and make arrangements to meet them to have it brought down. everyone is assigned a meal. you and your meal buddy will decide what to make and then make it for that meal. lunches will be bought while on the road paid for by yourself. it is BYOB!!!!! i will update the list of attendees. please know for sure if you are going by august 1 otherwise you will be sleeping on the floor. we will get our cabin this year based on how many people are coming. cabins do not provide linen YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SLEEPING BAG/LINEN/TOWELS!!! it is alot of fun and hope to see you there.
attendees: lyd, calscrazy, cory, scott, lisa, rich, jason (flyboy), slag
tentative: will

Why the move from Koyote Ranch?
just trying to change it up a little.
we will be getting the hotel room in a week or two if anyone else is interested let us know.
Looking forward to this [Dolph]
so i called down today and asked about cabin EH. the guy told me being on bikes we prob dont want that cabin because it sits up an hill and parking is questionable at best. our choices are 22, 75, 37 and 38, 52 and 53, or 41 and 42. opinions would be really helpful.
75 looks good to me. 37 and 38 appear to have better floor plans so I think one of these two would be best.
The other cabins (22, 41, 42) seem to be too close to the public restrooms and "dance floor." Does Cabin 22 have it's own parking? Looks like the only way to get there is "path to river." 52 and 53 only have one bathroom.
I guess Cabin 37 0r 38 would get my vote [thumbsup]
as it stands right now i am probably going with therockingd.com rio dulce cabin. just need to know about will, cory's plus one and two other folks.

I reserved it. I'll do some research tomorrow on KR's cabin charge for the cabin we've got reserved and PM you guys a total.
thanks again lisa! [thumbsup]
Three weeks to go. Should be a blast [Dolph] If you haven't been on one of these hill country trips, here's your chance. We should be over the worst of the triple digit temps by then so there's some good riding to be had for sure. And the accommodations at Koyote Ranch are top-notch.
How are we doing in Cabin 26? RichD is out (for obvious reasons :-X ) and so is Jason.
I'm sorry to have to do this but with the recent k-bike development, I'm going to have to cancel as well. With my long legs, the Monster is no bueno for long rides in the HC.

Will, it sucks being tall! but not being comfortable on a long ride would just make it longer and miserable!
so whats the count and now there is really open spots left.
So come on and speak up lets go!!
That only leaves 4 in a big cabin... Can we all squeeze into 1 cabin, or is anybody else interested in going?
I'll know tomorrow and most likelymone inntow

I've already put a $280.00 non-refundable cc deposit down on the big cabin (Cabin 26) for four nights. If we need to cancel the big cabin, we need to do it before 21 days of our stay or I'll be charged for the other three nights whether we're there or not (works out to be 625 bucks in addition to the 280 for a rough total of around $900).
If we need to do something different, I need to know real soon.
Karn Sarn...........
I wish I could go and fill up a spot! [bang]
Mark
If we switch to one cabin then we will need to figure out the $175 deposit on cabin 25. Koyote will no longer refund deposits.
"Your deposit is equal to your first night's stay (minus tax where applicable). Cancellations may be made 14 days or more prior to your reservation, at which time you may reschedule your stay or take a "VOUCHER". The voucher will be good for the amount of your deposit and MUST BE USED WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF THE VOUCHER DATE AND IS NON RENEWABLE. If you cancel within 14 days prior to your stay you will forfeit your deposit."

Sounds like it might be a good idea to cancel 1 of the cabins. I bet we could use the "voucher" to help pay for the other cabin!
We could always get a small cabin if we need a coupla extra beds [thumbsup]
So it looks like we've got eight people going as of today. Everyone could fit in Cabin 26 (not sure about Cabin 25?)
KR's six month voucher policy for cancellations sucks, but what if we decide to postpone this trip and agree to reschedule it sometime before next February keeping the Cabin 25 and Cabin 26 large-group strategy?

I'm OK with 1 cabin, or postponing, either way, but it seems like we need to decide today!!!!!!!!!!!!
whatever is easier and cheaper works for tyler abd I. if its pay 250 bucks for the 4 of us, and only 100 if we stay in 1 cabin and we all pitch in 40 bucks to cover the deposit its still cheaper, whatever you want to do is okay with us.
What's the difference between cabin 25 & cabin 26? Is 1 of them larger? Which 1 is the 1 that has been our "main" cabin in the past?!?
It's sounding like we need to cancel 1 of the cabins & hopefully apply that deposit to the cabin we keep [thumbsup]

Instead of doing it that way, how about everyone (except Lisa) owes Zach $10, everyone (except Zach) owes Lisa $30. Then everyone except Zach and Lisa pay Koyote $65. That equates to everyone paying $105 total. And this way Zach and Lisa don't have to pay anything to Koyote when they get there since they have already put down the deposits.

Just brought the BMW back from the
morgue dealership. I've got two ways to go with it; part it out or find a complete engine to swap out. Not in any hurry to make a decision either way. Meanwhile the duc's sitting there saying, "hey, what about me. you can ride me. look at me. over here!" I think she's been jealous and maybe even had something to do with the Bimmers downfall. I wouldn't put it past her. Italian women can be dangerous.

Do you know what time you're going over to Randy's? After changing out my exhaust system for one that is ten pounds lighter AND having the front forks re-valved and re-oiled, I think mine could use a tweak or two too.

And yes ther 748 went down. Scott and tyler went out. scott on the 748 and tyler on the paul smart. I truck was dragging an gass can with diesel that rubbed through the can and left a huge line of oily diesel on the rode. And scott came around that corner and did a low speed low side. Left side body did the most damage, and the shifter. Bar ends did their job no tank or front fairing damage, pretty minor, just glad scott was ok, little scraps on his left arm, but nothing major!
Here are a couple pics of the body:

Another awesome HC trip in the books! Had a great time with some truly crazy people and a few hundred miles of spectacular hill country roads; two solid days of pavement shredding good times. And just to round off the riding day, we sat out on the patio, watched the sun set, demolished buckets of hot wings, heckled deer with a digerie-do :o and then tried to decide whether the next beer should be *pink* or chocolate brown.
Honestly, does it get any better than that? [laugh]

Thanks Murduc for the beer (even though I didnt drink it) and thanks to all!! we will need to try and plan a spring ride down there!

Let's start planning a spring trip!!! [Dolph] (We need to give MurDuc plenty of time to brew more beer ;D)
one of these would be awsome for the trip. radar/laser detector plus gps, to bad the price is so high

That's a good combination. Could be used in the family car or on a bike. Think of the economies [laugh]
can be connected for enhanced GPS signal? WTF? For that price it should come with a hell of an antenna.
well i picked up a shifter and a mirror for only 25 bucks. everyone stay on the look out for a left fairing. or does anybody have any ideas?
