Title: Ducati tail bag for Monster - fitment questions
Post by: metroplex on June 06, 2011, 04:34:20 AM
Does anyone else have the Ducati branded tail bag for the 696? I got it from my dealer and it replaces the plastic cover for the 2nd passenger, but it is a VERY tight fit. I was curious if others felt it was a very tight fit or if my seat is somehow messed up.

I've got one.  It fits fine now but if I recall I had to pull it pretty tight initially to get the bolts to hold through the holes.  I guess it has stretched a little.  Initially it is worth doing as the instructions say and fitting it with the seat off.  I had a few times when the lip at the back went down too far and held onto the frame rather than the seat (so I couldn't get the seat off!), this would make it tight.  Now I don't bother as I am used to getting it on correctly.

Yup, it was a bit tight at first.

Thanks! I was surprised at the size, I was expecting a puny little bag. But this isn't too bad.
