Title: Hello from Dayton, Ohio
Post by: tlh235 on June 22, 2011, 07:45:15 AM
Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Terry...i'm brand new to the motorcycle world.  Took the MSF class approx 3 weeks ago and just purchased my first bike last week, a White Ducati Monster 696.  I really am loving the bike, but got to admit i'm having a little trouble with starting off from a complete stop...stalling a couple times before i get it most time.  This bike, of course, is totally different than the bike i took the class with(Honda Knighthawk 250).  I was quite proud of myself in the class, i did alot better than i expected, i even got the clutch and the stop start down kinda quickly.  Then i got the monster, and it's totally different.  I've only had the chance to ride/practice twice(in a huge technical school parking) since getting the bike.  Hopefully, in time i can get it better.  Anyway, great site...i look forward to asking more questions and getting some good advice.

Terry

welcome to the board Terry. it takes a little practice to master feathering the clutch when you first get started. keep practicing!
