there was talk of doing a group buy on these radiators after duchead threw one on

i've been in touch with the guys at pace and have asked for a price break down and number on where we could start seeing a discount but would like to see how many of you would be interested . . . they're about $750 shipped as it stands and over $100 of that is shipping. so it may pay to get a few folks together. i'm down and ready to party naked with a smaller radiator.
I'm interested please. ;D
he (mark from pace) said they would do a 10% break at 5 units . . . so, not a killer deal but a deal. putting each unit at close to $700. i'm in, muskrat is prepared to party. anyone else?
That's a nice price - compared - I think a new factory radiator is close to $ 2,000.
If it's just an upgrade - pricey, but still worth it - it looks a lot better IMO [thumbsup]
Good luck guys [popcorn]
Push him to 10% [evil]
Did you ever confirm fitment for the testa powered S4R ? 07-08 I believe, which would include the s4rs.

no, i did not. i believe them to be two different units so i'm not sure that pace could make one interchangeable for the two motors
Keep the dream alive boys! I have an email out regarding S4R 07-08 compatibility.
I would love to be in, but just can't swing the $... Bummer... :'(
mark emailed me this am and said they are investigating s4r pre and post 07 compatibility.
make that shit fit. its just a inlet and outlet isnt it?

So if they do a 5% break from $650 (not including the est $100 shipping fee) = $617.50
Is that about right?
Would there be any break on shipping?
I'm interested but concerned about the fans. Can you still run fans on it? I live in 90+F weather for a good part of the year. Overheating is a fear....... :P

+1
Does someone on the group buy have a corporate discount through a shipping company to curb that shipping fee?
I am in! Tell me where to send the dinero.
ok, i'm waiting on at least 5 people so we can get the discount. i'll see if we can work something out with shipping too. perhaps they can send them bulk to one address and we can ship to individuals from there . . . each package can't weigh much at all.

When mine arrived, I was worried the box was empty! ;) ;D
Pedro - I live in a hot area as well -- two days over 100°F this month. It will run hotter, but I rigged my one fat to a switch above the dash. It helps a little. This said, I've not yet over-heated.

OK. So you're running just one fan? Are you running with a switch due to ECU failure or a different reason?
I'll take something over nothing.

ECU or sensor failure, pretty sure its the latter.
Any confirmation (or not) about this working with a Testa motor?
Thinking about picking one up for when I find a good RS ... 8)
Cheers,
Adam

The inlet and outlet elbows are slightly different between an S4 ('01 '02) and an S4Rs.
I do not currently have access to an S4R, but likely will very soon.
where do we stand? how many people do we have?

if only they worked for S4RS...
I would be in for one that fits S4Rs.

i actually just bought an rs too so i'm now more invested in the answer to this. i also sent another email this am to see if they would combine orders for both bikes and ship to one location for a deep shipping discount. then from there we can send them cheap to their new owners. i'll be in touch as soon as i hear something.

I've got access to an S4R now, so I can compare all of the radiators.
I'm thinking something like an S4Rs configuration would fit all the bikes, as the S4 and S4R have 100% rubber hoses, and a little more finagling room.
S4Rs is packed like a can of sardines.

I just talked to a buddy who lives close to Pace.
The problem is that they need an S4RS in shop to ensure fitment.
If anyone knows someone with a testastretta Monster close to Pace (Suffolk), contact them and see if they'll "lend" their bike to Pace for several days.

[laugh] I love that it's a forgone conclusion already.
this is the answer that came in from mark this am regarding the s4rs radiator:
"Hello
Sorry for the delay
Unfortunately they will not fit
Speak to you soon
Best Regards
Mark Cullum
Sales Manager"
now i'm gonna write and wait another week to find out if they even offer one for the s4rs . . . that the two are not interchangeable i can understand but whether they offer a fit for the 07/08 i'm not clear on. i'll get back to you guys in september when he responds [roll]
Any updates for S4rs fitment?
Ay news about this?
Anyone who has one and wants to part from it? :D
