Looking for some advice on a tail bag for my 2011 Ducati Monster 696. Anyone care to push me into a certain direction. thanks.
I use this one from Nelson-rigg, http://nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=1646 (http://nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=1646)
The bag can be used for the tail or tank. Has backpack straps included which came in handy already. The size is very good but, the next size up would have been better. I ordered two of these from Revzilla.com but I have only used one at a time, I have only done overnight trips and commuted to work, hence the larger bag recommendation. [thumbsup]

I have this. I love it. The rain fly is awesome, it zips away inside when not in use. universal type mounting system works great with our trellis frames.
i can fit about 4 days worth of clothes and a pair of sneakers in it. great bag, great price.

great choice man, you're going to love it. you'll have it for the rest of your life.
was there any instructions with your bag. I'm not real sure how this thing goes on. Do you have any pictures or instructions you can provide. Thanks.
Cortech works well and can be had for a fraction of the price as a Duc tailbag. It expands to hold a few days worth of clothing. When secured properly..using a few extra bungees, it can even stay attached to your bike when it lands after you unexpectedly go over a few jumps in the road. [cheeky]

i take it you are taking the seatcover off the passenger seat to put on the tail bag...correct? maybe i'm gonna have to do some online searching...this thing i got came with straps but they aren't elastic so i'm thinkin maybe i need to provide something to strap it down with.
I don't remove the cowl. The bag has a foam may that it rests on.
what do you use to connect the straps....do i need to get something else. the straps aren't elastic so i'm not sure how this friggin thing connects.
no no, they connect easily. you dont need anything else.
the front ones (near your arse) you can loop the "loop" end around the front part of your passenger grab rails and then thread the "buckle" part through the loop (so the strap is secure around the frame rail). the back ones, i loop around the back end of the passenger grab rails, and then run them UNDER The tail section to the buckle on the opposite side. works perfectly, SUPER secure.
The wolfman tail bag is really nice!
