Title: Any experience with AGV leathers?
Post by: El Matador on June 18, 2008, 10:12:57 AM
I know they make good helmets, (Rossi's) but what about the leathers?

Saw this, thought it might be a bargain:

Any feedback?

I love their helmets and have been wearing them for years, but I have never been a fan of their leathers.  the actual leather quality is not great, is much thinner than I like, and the construction is kinda cheap.  Definitely a case of you get what you pay for.

Some may say I'm biased however.  ;D

BTW...AGV helmets and AGV apparel are two seperate companies.  Save that jewel for biker trivia night.

I have an AGV Sport Breeze jacket and AGV Sport Vented Sportrider pants. The jacket is perforated leather and breathes very well. The pants are nice, not perf'd, but have a very tight weave of a breathable material in the crotch and a patch of spandex type material on the back of the knee and calf. Both feel very well constucted and zip together...

I bought a pair of AGV Sport leather pants. Got them on-line , tried them on , they felt ok and the leather seemed to be alright but I've never ridden in them. I always wear one of the 4 pair of Dainese leathers that I have. I guess I feel that the Dainese are the better of the 2 so wear the best you've got . My thinking.
