Hey all,
So I know the install for the fast throttle cam is supposed to be really simple, but I am having issues... [bang]
For those who dont know the product, this is the link:
http://www.electraeon.com/throttlecam.html (http://www.electraeon.com/throttlecam.html)
It is supposed to increase throttle response and reduce turn to full throttle.
My problem is that I dont know how to remove the throttle body cam on my s2r 800 Dark (05').

There is SUPPOSED to be a nut at the center of the cam to lock it in place but mine doesnt have one? ??? Looking for a set screw but cant find one.
HELP!
Stopintime's s2r for comparison...

I'm not familiar with that type of OE cam. I would send the pic to electraeon and confirm that you have the correct part for your application. I've found them to be very responsive.
BK
the throttle cams on some bikes is a molded piece and cannot be replaced. to install the electraeon part on your bike would require swapping throttle bodies. I suggest you sell off the electraeon piece and look for a quick throttle tube (handlebar side of the throttle).

The housing on the bars doesn't have room for a larger cam. (that's what G2 manufacturer said)
Maybe there's a way to remove the plastic and modify the shaft to hold the Electraeon cam......

id call that your best solution. and pretty darn cheap too i think
Thanks all. atleast I know im not an idiot.
ok... ill try and return the electraeon piece. No big deal. I guess i'll just live with the stock setup - it isnt that bad but I was looking forward to changing the feel of the bike a bit.
Maybe its time to get around to that 14T sprocket...
