Title: Mile High Salute!
Post by: BourneS4R on August 23, 2011, 09:39:25 PM
Hello All!

Tom, 28, SWM, likes long walks...

Oh wait, wrong website. 6 year Active Duty Navy vet, USNR for 4 years in September. Have owned two '70s model dirtbikes (never road-worthy), '01 KTM LC4 640, '02 Honda VFR800 Interceptor, '05 Suzuki SV1000S (selling), and my recently acquired "Black Betty" a 2005 Monster S4R. It is quite stock; only the bar end mirrors and CF clutch basket. Looking forward to the near future; planning on tail chop w/ stealth plate, LED tail light, K&N air filter and Arrow full length exhaust (spilt down the middle on Ti or CF; gotta pick one!)

Aside from bikes: snowboarding, school for Professional Pilot, vast exercise of 2nd Ammendment rights, beer brewer (15.5 gal setup)  [beer]

If you are a Denver-area rider, shoot me a message!

Welcome  [clap] Denver is one of my favorite places in the country and you sure can't beat the mountain riding.

I have been to nearly thirty states and over thirty countries spanning four continents yet I will always call Colorado home. Aside from the plethora of other things here, the roads and scenery taken in on two wheels are second to very few across our blue planet.

Sounds good DRC. [thumbsup] Maybe this year the donkeys will at least hit .500. ??? I'm still holding out for the Rox to make a charge! Other that bad umping and stupid homers in the Dodgers loss tonight, they have looked really good the last six games.
[clap]
What Duc are you looking to get? Do you already have a bike? What have you owned before?

True about the Broncos.  I think Orton was the smart choice, so hopefully we'll see the playoffs with one of our sports teams this season.  I'm still holding out for the Rockies, though 10 games back is pretty hard to overcome.

I'm looking for an 848, though I've also checked out monsters, a 999, and a couple Triumph Daytonas.  I just sold my first bike  :'(, a Virago 250, so I'm anxious to get a new bike ASAP.

Well, if you'd be interested in a '05 SV1000S, let me know. I have one for sale.
