Anyone else have this problem? I bought it from Ducati Monster Tail Chop and it was a breeze to do worked like a charm but on the first ride with my wife on the seat went down a bit and the plate hit the rear tire and bent in. I guess I can leave it bent in and keep it like that but it seems a bit odd.
Almost forgot to post a pic of my tail chop. I feel like a proud dad...

Yea I had a similar experience. I took some sheet metal and fashioned an angled bracket. pretty simple as long as you can cut the right dimensions and punch/drill some holes for the fasteners.
The end product is that my license plate is angled about 45deg.
You can have it at that angle if you still had the tail but on the chop..no way!! I chopped mine, had more of an angel than that and still managed to crunch the plate twice.
Just take it off and bend it outward at lesat 20* if you can.
Yeah thats exactly what I did. After looking at the pics on the DucatiMonsterTailChop website where I ordered the kit I noticed the bikes all had it angled outward a bit so I did that and I'm hoping that should do it. It looks like it will.
