Anyone up for a ride? I'm thinking up through McKinney, Blue Ridge, Tom Bean and up to 692 for some fun.
Meet at QT in McKinney at 10:00 a.m. Corner of hwy 5 and El Dorado parkway.
Sound off.

I'll just say I can't go and leave it at that.
Have a great ride with this awesome weather!!! [Dolph]
Looks tempting. I'll let you know later in the week.
Maybe............maybe............
I'll have to wait and see if I get a better offer. [laugh]

You weren't on the list anyway.
Sorry, will be out of town this weekend :-\
What time are you planning to be back? I'm locked down late that afternoon.
That's junior's homecoming dance night and you'd think there was a combination of a Royal wedding and coronation going on! [bang] Jeeez Louise! [roll] He's just a freshman and it's just a freaking dance. I can't believe the fuss his Mom is making out of this and the list of honey dos for me is as long as my arm. I never went to a homecoming or a prom dance and my life turned out just fine. [thumbsup] The biggest problem with kids these days are their parents. :P
On a somewhat similar note there is this for a ride destination:

Both weekend days are supposed to be nice... a little too warm for my liking but better than we have experienced this summer. As in under 100 degrees. [roll]
should be back by 3 unless we stop every 5 minutes.
we are running there and back, no lunch this time. My folks are dropping by so I need to be home at a reasonable hour.
Is this the run that ends in Sherman/75?

Don't you mean 697? That's a great road. [thumbsup] Not that anyone cares but I am out for Saturday. Too much on my plate. You guys have fun, weather should be really nice! [Dolph] Be safe.

Lisa, what Dax means is no lunch FOR HIM. If we wind up in Sherman I am game for heading back up to Lose Wheels for lunch! I'll not pass up an opportunity to eat just because Dax can't!

Yeah, I'm in for the start - won't be able to stay for all of the ride though. If you want we can cruise over there together. Once we get on the 121 Tollway, it takes about 25 minutes over to McKinney and Hwy 75.
i might be able to make it. i was supposed to go to the lake friday night but idk if thats going to happen so if not im down
guys, we are going to have to shorten the ride a bit. My parents just called and drove from Jackson Hole, WY, to Amarillo, which means they will be here all day Saturday. I sent them shopping for the am portion of Saturday so we will do the "usual" northerly route via 455, Southbound service road on 75 to McKinney airport, around Blue Ridge and back 75 service road North onto 455. The route is about 120 miles from meeting place and back. Sorry, but it was unexpected. If you want the original route I can show you how to take it but this puts me back at around noon to start working on "borrowing" the monster of a motor home for Sturgis next year.......needs lots of help because mama said HELL NO but Dad said YES. [evil]
meet at 9:00 a.m. http://www.maineventusa.com/locations/frisco (http://www.maineventusa.com/locations/frisco)
well im going to ams and motoliberty saturday now with lyd since i havent been to either of them yet. i may still ride up with cher for coffee
the run takes just an hour and a half so you'd have enough time for both and will land you back to the tollway so it's a straight shot to AMS from there.
Oh, if you want to gas up there's a QT just down the street. You can see it from Main Event.
ill talk to lyd tomorrow and post back up

So if my caffeine-deprived brain is reading this correctly it looks like you've changed the meeting place and time?
With a shortened ride and earlier start time, I should be able to do this.

Hey, if you and LYD want to ride over to Frisco together, we should probably leave around 8 am or so to be over there by 9. Do you want to meet at our house or I could cruise over there?
YES. The man Mhanis is crying over coffee so we will adjust our plan to please him otherwise we will all pay on the ride. There is a QT on the corner of Legacy and Main Street (about a quarter mile from Main Event headed West on Main Street). You can take Legacy off of 121 headed North and you'll run right into it Lisa. This way those who failed to drink enough coffee prior can charge up and fuel up.

I am not going to make this, I am going to take the day and put the 748 back together and a good cleaning. I need to run to AMS and pick up a rubber bushing to put the front fairing back on. plus I know I will not be awake by 8. But I will talk with tyler, and I know he wants to go to AMS, so depending on how long you guys will be I may wait for him to get back before I go over there, if he wants to ride.
I might be able to meet for coffee... If I promise to bring my wife a Dr. Pepper back.

QT for coffee it is then. 9 a.m. still? Great to see mhanis is buying... think I'll have the super skinny mocha bourbon latte. Stirred, not beaten. Make that a double.
[evil]
tyler is not going either, he is busy tomorrow, going to hang out with a friend. so that makes us both out.
yes. 9 tomorrow. Mahnis will make everyone wait on his highness so give him all the shit he deserves.
[coffee] Alrighty then
Hey everybody-- really, really, wish I could make the ride out tomorrow. My kids have football and soccer games all through the morning. Sounds like a cool route. Maybe next time....
Best,
Charlie
Lisa,
The first round of double frappe mocha mudslides or whatever are on me!!!
But none for Muskrat since he wanted to meet in an unattended desert! I'll get him a tumbleweed!!
See everyone at 9am(ish).
Mark
I reconsidered because at your age you need a bathroom nearby at all times. [bang] I'll think of the "aged" folks next time.
Zipper23, next time.

Great ride, great folks! And it was a Ducati Monster photo op if there ever was one [thumbsup] Wish I could have made the lunch stop.
It was good to meet Ryan and Garry. Hope to see y'all again on another ride like, say, the Muenster Run on Sunday, October 23rd http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=52601.0 (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=52601.0) (yes, shameless plug and threadjack [evil] )
Thanks for putting this one together, Dax. Oh and thanks for getting 455 *mostly* re-paved [laugh]
[thumbsup] touché
I will call the County and get them to finish the rest ASAP
hi everybody-- sounds like a cool ride. would somebody please outline the route? I live in far north plano and am on the lookout for a nice route. I can see blue ridge and tom bean, but not the rest.
hope to make the next one!
Good ride. Good seeing everyone again, and great finally getting to see Lisa's 955i. Great looking bike. [thumbsup]
