Patched the motor
New front tire
Bike cost $2g on ebay, put $1g into it and now I have a beast [evil].

I have chopped the exhaust, just need to paint the cans. Once that is done, I'll post pics. Bike also has the open air box mod with a K&N filter. I am looking to do more mods so any suggestions are welcomed.
Looking good
[thumbsup] [thumbsup]
Just need to open that clutch up
Thought about opening the clutch, the painted cover will have to do for now. I was laid off in may so money isn't coming that fast. I plan on;
tail chop
led brake light
led front turn signals
bar end mirrors
painting belt covers (blue outside, white inside)
I am worried about doing the led stuff because I don't have the Red key or code card :-\.
The bike came with the CA Cycle works billet top triple clamp, but I am missing the adjusters for the forks. (Not sure if the original forks are adjustable) If any one knows where I can get those it would be a help. I'll post a bike of the triple clamp once it stops raining here
[thumbsup]
did anyone else, when seeing the first pic, think... "omg, half invisible bike!"? ;D
And people dont believe in resurrections.
[thumbsup]
Impressive work!
Two comments:
1. It's "SENNA". ;)
2. Please explain patch on bottom of engine case!!! ;D
My bad on the SENNA, typo lol.
The patch is there bc when I bought the bike the cases had a hole in them. (wish I took a pic) After researching and finding out that it would cost about 4g's to replace, the patch was the next best bet. I took a piece of aluminum that I had laying around and cut it to size. Then I drilled and tapped some holes into the case and used high temp RTV silicone. The patch works great, and only leaks a lil bit of oil when it is cold outside. Once the motor is warm, the leak is gone.
Awesome! You sir have courage!!! And a bargain [thumbsup]

BTW, how'd the PO put a hole in the case?
Cool, resurrection!

I have a mental image of a dialogue much like this preceding the incident:
"Think you can wheelie over that curb?"
"I don't see why not."
Not sure as to how the prev owner was able to get the hole. But he did do a lot of damage to the bike. He bent the front rim, put hole in the motor, two holes in the header. He did a fantastic job screwing it up.

But a bargain for you as well as a good looking bike.

First mod you should do is the odometer addition mod.
Go put a buncha miles on that beast and enjoy the hell out of it.
It looks great! You can worry about mods come winter.

Here is a cheap Mod you can do - http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=43917.0 (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=43917.0)
After much research, it looks like the PO did the fork swap, so they are adjustable. [evil].

I believe they came with adjustable Showas. The bigger engine bikes usually came with the better gadgets [bacon]

Your bike could be an S model which came with adjustable forks and an aluminum swingarm.

How would I go about checking if it is the "S" model?

You could probably check the VIN with Ducati.
But a way quicker method would be to try and stick a magnet to the swingarm. If it sticks, it's steel, and not an 'S'. If it doesn't, it's aluminum, and is either an 'S' or the previous owner went to the effort to change the swingarm.
Checked the swing arm, and it is aluminum. So it is the S model. [evil]

AFAIK, 2004 1000DS in the U.S. is the 'S' model. Mine has Alu swingarm and fully adjustable forks.
I'm sending you my stock cans....please chop like yours and return asap [thumbsup]
Looks great!
The bike looks amazing its a credit to you now just get out and put many happy miles up on it enjoy.
