Qualifying in a couple of hours.
I'm working over the weekend.
How did free practice sessions go? Did George rest up?
Repsol front row, Pedrosa, Stoner and Dovi.
Think I read Hayden on the second row again. He's consistent at least. Now if they would just give him a bike that can keep up.
Not this year. [roll]
OMG I hope simmo is OK. This does not look good.
RIP 58 :'(
ahh crap, worst possible outcome. RIP Marco. :'(
I feel sick after watching that. A talent taken too soon.
Thoughts go out to Rossi and CE as well. Can't be a good place for them at the moment.
RIP Marco. :'(
RIP Simmo.
RIP
I didn't get to see it. Can someone describe what happened? Please tell me it wasn't because the Ducati front end problems.
edit: ok I found the information. Apparently Sic slid into the path of edwards and rossi and lost his helmet in the wreck.
Yep, looks sickening. rip Marco
When I watched it the first time (live) I knew he was dead. How precious is life, that's all can say
RIP Marco
RIP Super Sim. :'(
We lost one of the good ones :(
Rip Marco
What a tragedy?
One of the saddest days in my life.
R.I.P. SuperSic 58
RIP 58
Horrific crash. RIP Sic.
There was a sense of uneasiness leading into today's main race, after last week's Phillip Island outing with the Lorenzo & Spies crashes. And Marquez & Spies again this week.
teriible way to start the day. RIP
A great talent and a real personality was lost today.
RIP Marco.
I think this is appropriate....
Eric Clapton - Circus Left Town (RARE) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veGF9Vjo_IE#)
RIP
He was poised to really stir things up and make it interesting.
Damn.
I almost can't believe this. Rip Marco.
IMO he was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise underwhelming motogp.

I agree I really enjoyed watching him my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, RIP Marco :'(
How are Edwards and Rossi holding up, they must be devastated.
RIP Marco.
Sad days for motorsports fans lately.
RIP Marco. Way, way too young.
A truly horrific crash... RIP Marco. You were one of the good ones. You will be missed.
Sad day
RIP 58

You can see them try to avoid him, Collin's bike really got fishy. I can't imagine how they feel. If Marco had just let go instead of trying to save it- but that wasn't his style.
crazy, just saw this...
rip marco
:'( Crazy and unbelievable.
I just watched the youtube videos and now I wish I hadn't. [bang] Seeing Edwards get up and stagger towards Marco and watching Rossi riding back onto the track seemingly shaking his head after what had just happened is gut wrenching. Think twice about watching the videos. I'm sure DORNA will do everything to shut them all down. Do you blame them?
Luckily someone warned me before I watched the race, I think I'll be skipping this one.
A sad day indeed.
I'm pretty sure it will also be the last race of both Collin and Rossi.
Sic was my favorite for the future; guess I was wrong. Still can't find the words to express how I feel. Planned to go out for a ride today; at first didn't want to, then changed my mind thinking there's no better way to commemorate him then by going for a ride. [Dolph]
I'm not riding today but you may be right. [Dolph]

I also agree.
It's difficult to express what a loss this is.
It was clear he enjoyed what he did and he was good at it. He had a raw talent for racing that is rare today. And his fans loved him for it. He will be missed!
R.I.P. Marco.
Terrible crash and tragedy. RIP Marco. :'(
Good luck to Edwards & Rossi to get over this...gotta be hard.
What a shitty week for motorsports. :-\

I recommend skipping it I watched the BBC race feed and I was in tears.
In the USA speed showed coverage of the 125 race. As it was recorded before the GP race this morning there was no info on the tragic events that happened earlier today other than a scroll across the bottom of the screen.
Simo was a very talented rider with a very bright future. His aggressive riding style made for good entertaining racing. He will be missed.
RIP. Sad day indeed.
Jesus God...
Just watched my download of the BBC feed. That crash was brutal.
RIP Marco. :'(
I just can't believe it , we lost a truly great rider
RIP Marco
I was at work when the Race was being shown live here in Australia, My wife was watching it at home and she Texted me all the Info about the Crash, When she sent me a text saying that his Helmet had been ripped off during the crash, I had to say that right there I thought he is dead.
20 mins later the Text came through saying that he had passed. As much as I expected it, It was still a massive kick in the Stomach.
My wife referred to him as the Sideshow Bob of MotoGP for Obvious reasons, we both liked watching him, he was great on track and off track, While we both are fans of other riders, we both watched Marco's progress with great Interest, He was learning and was always spectacular to watch.
He was a great Rider, and the Potential to become a truly Epic rider in the Future.
Ciao Super Sic! :'(
Just heard the news about an hour ago.
Kid had a great future in racing. The danger is part of the game, though, I guess...
Rest in Peace, Sic.
Thoughts are with his family, and Edwards and Rossi...poor guys.

I called him Sideshow Bob as well.
Really horrible. Simoncelli truly was a great talent and while I wasn't one of his fans, there's no denying what an incredible rider and racer he was. He was only just starting to show his potential, bringing some consistency to his passion.
I hope his family, friends and team find peace. I also hope that Rossi and Edwards are able to move forward.
MotoGP will be less for his absence.
RIP #58 / Race In Peace
:'(
Good thing the championship is already wrapped up. Can you imagine the mixed emotions if there were still points at issue and the cancellation of the GP was decisive. That's make a shitty situtation even worse.
Understandably, no one is talking about how make the beast with two backsed up it is that the Sepang circuit's screw-up cost Marquez the Moto2 championship. But it's still make the beast with two backsed up. I know that "shit happens in racing", but come on . . . a 15,0000 EU fine for the circuit while Marquez gave up 20 pts? Dude.

What did the circuit do wrong? All I saw was Marquez's crash that kept him out.

They failed to raise the "water on track" flag in that corner and a few went down.

Funny, I thought of the same thing too. Well... not really "funny" at all but call it what you want. Glad the series championship wasn't hanging out in the breeze and this cancellation messed it up. Sad that Stoner has to win again with this black cloud hanging over.
Yeah, messed up on Marquez's series too. :P

That screw-up collected Smith, Marquez, Cluzel
and Hernandez back-to-back-to-back-to-back, the first two of whom are often front-runners. Smith (and the others) are lucky it was't worse.

Still very sad about this news.
Simoncelli was my favorite with Rossi. I was so happy when in Australia he got 2nd and 2nd time podium. Its unbelievable still.
RIP Simoncelli.
I hope Collins and Rossi are doing alright. I can't imagine what they are going through in addition to family and team members.
