Details are still in the works, but we are planning a Christmas party at our house the evening of December 17th.
The only things we know is that there will be food and drink. (Yep, we are really early in the planning.) [wine]
More details in early December.
There is a Scrooge fest that night. My invitation had you as one of the sponsors. ???
Keep in mind Sue and Stan can lay quite a spread [wine] [drool]

Wow, no stress now...
Thankgiving roadtrip time = Menu planning...
Cool! Alan and I will plan on being there. Might even be able to drag Sam along too... :D
mindy and i are planning on this, maybe tyler will come with also.
is there a secret santa or something like that (bring a unisex gift??)
+1. Moto related?
Secret santa is a great idea, but asexual gifts only [evil] moto or auto related is really the right answer too. Nothing more than $20 worth, not too junky, remember the gift you bring may be your own! Oh yeah, no electronics (remember the tv....). Will come up with more rules later, cheat the rules at your own peril [leo]
Or shitty, useless exhaust plus cheap beer. On second thought Sunshine is banned!

From last year's party:

I brought a 13" TV that had been sitting in my closet for about 15 years. Oh, and my wife and I covered it with about 200 smiley face stickers. I thought it made an ellegant gift. [laugh]
nice! Thanks for the updaye, I think I have an 80's ghetto blaster in the attic.

More details to follow post Thankgiving; I need a good road trip to sort out the details.
For the gift exchange we can do something like what we have done in years past. If you want to partake, bring a moto or auto related under $20 ( gently used is ok ). We will draw numbers and just go down the list; when you number comes up you can either pick from the un opened gifts or steal one that has already been opened. [beer]
can the gift be stolen twice or three times max?

Something like that; we figure the exact # of times @ the party base on the number of gifts.
I didn't score 100 in statistics. Why would number of people be relevant? [evil]

Well, if only 2 people brought gifts, it would be silly to steal the gift 3 times...
Plus I would like to keep everyone in suspense, it is my Christmas gift to you all [evil]
it simply means they don't participate. I think you are rigging this to your benefit. ;)
Lets see, if the ncumber of participants equals the base of the number system, e.g. eight participate so octal numbers are used, which is four times the binary system, once you count to seven, the number of digits is increased by one. As is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and so forth. Now if eleven participate, ;D
now back to my second question, do we need to bring anything?

I'll let you know after Thanksgiving.
I can bring some of my family secret recipe cranberry garnish. It's homemade, takes roughly ten hours to prepare (peel the berries, dice the skins then lightly saute in a vintage tawny port with just a hint of nutmeg and confectioners sugar, dice the meat of the berries, etc., etc.) and is quite good. In fact, I've eaten it plain, just by itself, not even as part of a holiday meal. Yes, it's that good.

All I'll need is a can opener and we'll be good to go so just let me know and I'll be happy to bring some [evil]
I'll bring the opener, that will be my contribution to the party. :P

too early for me, >:(
6 start time (snacks out then for you hungry types)
Main dishes 6:30-7ish...
'skrat, if you need an early bird special and can put together a special plate for you... [cheeky]
The bread pudding needs a few hours to cool and set up. I'm shooting for an ETA of 6:30.

No worries, I
usually always run late with these things... [wine]
Shopping done, they should have warnings at the door when it is AARP day at the grocery store.
Starting cooking... only one 'punt' so far, Red Beans and Rice instead of Gumbo... decided to go with a known recipe instead of trying something new....
[bacon] Now time to start frying the bacon for the salad... (every salad should have bacon)
See everyone tomorrow night. [beer]
