The fact remains that as soon as Marquez started pushing, he crashed.
Dani was safely pushing as hard as he could with some bad setup/rear tire issues.
Maybe it was the experience that goes beyond the black and white of the telemetry and into the part where an rider's experience tells him how hard he can push without crashing.

Marquez is out of control 20% of the race each week. That isn't Pedro's fault.
Each race this year marquez is playing the good teammate not pyshing and passing when he is doing better consistent lap times
pedrosa is being a herk trying to prove he's no 1
if he'd let marquez go even if he is as you say out of control at least lorenzo would be challenged
pedrosa closed the door dangersously and marquez avoided his teammate
and didn't wreck
