After 15 years of wanting to get back into motorcycling and dreaming (or rather lusting) after a Ducati Monster and watching the evolution over time, I was able to finally put one between my legs.
I consider it an extra special achievement that is personal to me: a Ducati Monster 1100 EVO with the 72 Imola Body Kit, Termy exhaust system and some other neat little additions - see photo below...
Glad to be a part of your group - every Monster owner I've met is a great, unique individual and I'm honored to join your ranks.

Welcome [beer]
That's a nice riding-comeback bike [thumbsup]
That's "Imola"..., but otherwise very nice! ;)
Welcome, and have a blast!
Emola = an Imola that is constantly sad ;)
welcome to the family [thumbsup]
Thanks for the Imola typo corrections! :P

Huh, what, me ?
Takk, bare en uke igjen av sesongen, men ellers veldig bra [thumbsup]
Our season is over... Time to travel somewhere warm - and soon! [Dolph]
After 10 yrs I got mine this past September. It's an ole bruiser but I love it.
Yours is absolutely beautiful. If I were buying a newer model, it would look a whole lot like yours. Welcome. This forum is great. I've had questions and I've gotten plenty of answers and suggestions here. Best forum I've ever been a part of.
Thanks Steve, working on a new, cleaner tail piece this week. If I get the project done, I'll post some new photos. Other than those upgrades, I'll probably simply add a few carbon pieces here and there, then wait til spring to put on miles.
Congrats on your 10 year wait - it's definitely worth it eh?
Welcome Imola. Good to be back on 2 wheels. [thumbsup]
I waited for 16 years. The month my son was born, I sold my Yamaha. The month he got his temporary drivers license, I got my 696.
Your Monster is the first one I've really liked of the new generation. It's amazing what a pipe can do!!!

It certainly is! [cheeky]
Seriously, tho, that's a nice looking bike. Whereabouts in WY are you Imola?
Thanks guys - yes, not only the pipes but the Imola body kit make this one extra special for me. Like most moster owners, you can even get away with stopping at a red light without someone oohing and ahhing over the bike.
Smiles with bugs in my teeth from Laramie!
Congratulations! That's a beautiful motorbike.
I'm saving for my evo now, but still riding my KLR. -- 15 years makes you a patient and hardworking person!
Where'd you buy the bike? I live in Fort Collins...
Thanks for the kind words. It even looks better with the new tail-kit. Maybe if I get through the holidays and have some time, I'll post an updated pic.
I bought it from Jeff Seaver at Colorado Euro on I-25 near Ft. Co. He's awesome and so is their staff. They have a great parts department and service department as well. Let me know when you get yours so we can put in some twisties up Rist Canyon and the Poudre!
Sounds like a plan!
-About once every two months I go over to Colorado Euro and sit on one of the 1000evo's... [Dolph] I think they might snicker at my KLR outside, but seem like good guys. It's nice to have them nearby--they keep a great selection of Euro bikes on hand.
