Holy Mother Of God.
I have an '07, and with just a cold air intake, smaller blower pulley, and a tune I'm in the 620-625 HP area. Which falls into the "you better know what the make the beast with two backs you're doing when you stand on it" category.
This thing will be a complete beast stock. Let alone with 45 minutes' worth of minor mods like what I mention above.
Yes please [evil] [evil]
When too much horsepower is just enough. ;D
Looks like we have a new drift king!
I'd be interested in price...hopefully more closer to a Z06 than a ZR1.
The Gunmetal gray Super Snake is the shit.

based on the video, it will be around the $80K mark.
Still...
Either 650 HP at $65,000 or 750 HP at $80,000 is still an amazing feat for a production car.
Have they incorperated any kind of launch control? With that power the biggest problem is getting the wheels to hook up.
I think some form of launch control is in the works also from what I've read.
Almost has to be the case, since the tire section width has yet to increase from the factory. And 285 rears don't hook well unless they are drag radials. ;)

They bumped the boost from 9 to 15 PSI on the new 500. I don't know how much more power you could really tease out of the engine without some serious work. That being said, 700hp sounds like a good target.

For some reason I just like reading that sentence. ;D [thumbsup] 700hp would make for a nice grocery getter cage. [evil]... [leo]

I did a little more digging around last night, and it sounds like the engine internals are even stouter than before due to the new rev capacity of 7,000 RPM (older ones are 6,250).
I'd be willing to bet you could have reliable 900+ HP with the stock short block with the new engine. There are guys out there making 800 with the previous units with only blower and fuel mods...

I couldn't even imagine. I've driven a 500hp rwd before and that was a handful. Makes my feeble 300hp seem silly.
Damn...looks like I need to make another trip up to Mankato soon, Dave. You can take me for a demo ride. [drool]
Certainly! ;D
Unfortunately it's supposed to snow tomorrow, so supercharged fun will have to wait a few months to resume. :P

It would make for easy breakfasts. You'd scramble the eggs in the shell on the way home!
