Title: Arrow Carby High-Mount for carbon low-mount?
Post by: figone on November 18, 2011, 07:20:53 AM
Hello all-
First a quick introduction.  My name is Cody and I live on the South side of Dallas (Cedar Hill).  I just bought a '97 M750 that's been hidden away in a collection for awhile.  I lived in Italy for two years and decided then that I'd have a Monster at some point in my life.  If any of you come across something in Italian that you'd like translated, let me know.

On to the business at hand, though.  The bike has LOTS of carbon fiber on it, so I'm not interested in titanium or stainless slip-ons.  It does, however, have some high-mount Arrow cans that are absolutely immaculate.  The bike only has 2200 miles on it, and the exhaust was put on towards the end of that (maybe a year ago?)  They sound great, but low mounts have always been part of what makes a monster a monster to me, so I'd be interested in trading.  I'd love some Termignioni cans, but Arrow or Remus would be fine.  Not sure on relative market value, but some cash could change hands in either direction.  PM me with an e-mail address and I can send pictures of the bike or any shots of the exhaust you'd like.

Thanks,
Cody

30 reads and not so much as a "welcome to the forum"?  Should I have introduced myself somewhere else in the forum first?

I have always been interested in how to convert low mounts to high mounts acutally, I have a '99 M750 so I assume pretty similar bike.

Sorry if I came across as a jerk.  Rough day.  Anyways, here are some of the pictures from the ad, I still need to take some of my own.  Not sure on the custom paint on the tank...might be time to change that before too long.

BTW, it looks like to switch from high to low and vice versa all you need to do is unclamp/unbolt brackets and swap it all over.

The paint job is interesting. Not bad, but interesting.

If I were you I'd cross post this in the accessory/mod forum, you will generate a lot more chatter.

Also consider the Parts for Sale/Wanted sections....

Welcome to the boards

My thought in putting this here was that I might find someone local.  Right now this is my daily driver (long story, sold the car to help fund upcoming brain surgery for my wife) so I can't ship stuff across the country.  There's not some local parts classifieds on the board, is there?

Hey figone, sorry for the late response, but there's a new guy on the Houston boards who is trying to get rid of his D&D low mount CF cans and is looking for some high mounts.  Obviously he would need to give you some cash or something on top of the trade, but it sounds like you two could help each other out.  D&Ds aren't a bad exhaust...
