Im sure there are a few more of you out there..... People like me who like to name your ride. So, i figured someone should start a thread to see what some of them have been called, also if they have any meaning behind your choice.
Ill start....
2011 Ducati Monster 796 named "Micheala" italian for Who is like god.
and my other rig
1985 Moto Guzzi V65TT named "Beatrice" italian for Voyager through life.
My 1999 M750 - Molly.
Wife's 1988 Hond Hawk GT - Holly
JM
My 2000 750 is Lucretia Borgia
I'm not one for either naming inanimate objects or posting (lurk more!), but this still makes me laugh.
When I got the duc, posted the usual FB image with "guess what followed me home today?" caption. A buddy meant to reply "holy moosecocks!!" but fat-fingered "Holly Moosecocks!!" instead.
And so, the monster was christened Holly the Hooligan.
My wife named her car Betty. I've always thought about naming my car and bike, but "Baby" seems to work fine for both.
Wife's Mazda2 is "Zumy"
JM
i named my 796 Mona
No name, unless I'm busting a knucke while wrenching, then you would hear me exclaim
"make the beast with two backsing pregnant dog"

are you subtley implying that you think this thread might be a derby or something?
I go through so many bikes (42 or 43 and counting), that I don't get attached, hence I don't name them either.
"ahhh you mother make the beast with two backser" but i only call her that when im pissed, other wise its
"that thing over there"
"The pregnant dog"
or
"The Pig" aka "Piggy"
or
"Yardsale"

;D
*nudge*nudge*
anyway:
ryoko, anna, and sabine.
although, I never did name my car... other than calling it "the wife"
should name mine I 'spose
maybe
Dirty
Dirtier
and
Pika
I learned to never name something you love (other than kids, dogs, and cats). Anything you name will disappoint you.
I never thought of it until I read this thread, When I walk in the garage I usually say "What's up bud" so I guess his name is Bud........

It's the only bike or car I've ever named.
Janis (Joplin) 'cause they both -- sing with nasty-sweet voices, have deep-spirited souls, ooze tons of attitude, and smartly dress in red ;-)
Gixxer = Sookie
M796 = Katie.
I low-sided my Gixxer two years ago so the "z" in Suzuki got scratched off the fairing. A little girl at the parking lot said to me: "I like your Suuki." so Sookie it was. I used the same concept to name the monster. So Cati became Katie.

Nice one btw... Rofl
I'm not in the habit of naming inanimate objects. Hell, I have a hard enough time choosing a name for a cat, so I just call it my Ducati.
lol sticking to the basics eh? You could call the cat Kitty as some do...
I must be a contrarian, I call my red Ducati Bluey
