Ok people, our youngest member is leaving us soon and we need to start thinking about how to send this guy off in style. What day works best for you?
Is this one at Alan's house too? I think he'll leave us the key.... ;)
I might be getting my eye surgery in July. I have no idea when though. Oh and I go to PA the last week in July too ;D

You don't need to see to party. Half of my college life was a blur.
Let me know what dates you can't do and I'll pull them from the poll options.
I agree. Especially the part about college being a blur. Does anyone remember where I went to school? I'm sure I have mentioned it in passing. [drink] Cory, let us know some dates that might be open. I had forgotten about the low cost/GI eye correction deal. They can't tell you when that might be?
PS Hope you get that prob fixed on the bike. When are you taking her in?
Great, if Cory is taking the S4RS in I'll never get my suspension set up [bang]
J/K
Cory let us know man, you don't have too many weekends left.
I think we should have Cory's part at the Hibachi place near Hulen so that Winky can tell him goodbye.
Or perhaps we should have it the same night as the Lollie Bombs perfomance. I wonder it they could work in a special thing for Cory's going away [popcorn]

If you guys really want to send me off buy me a plane ticket to Vegas, and a gift certificate to the the Bunny Ranch.
We could just buy you a bus pass and make sure it goes by Harry Hines [laugh] [laugh]

Hello Cory??!! You still out there? We talked about you and your "moving to the Big Easy" party today at lunch. You have not been forgotten! Let us know when you are leaving and where you'd like to do something with the mob. Dinner. Lunch. Both. Pick a favorite spot, just make sure they don't have any "keep these people out of here" pictures of us on the front door!! [laugh] It may be safe now that LYD is not around to shatter car windows in the parking lot with your old exhaust!!!
Oh, we haven't forgotten Little Brother.... ;)

why don't we have Cory's going away party in New Orleans?
why don't we have it in my pants?
oh...wait
*** declared that next Saturday the 19th the party for Cory will be at casa de CDC
Ahhh, does Charles know about this? This isn't like Scott arranging parties at Ron's house while he's in Italy? Whatever, I'll be there where ever!! [thumbsup]
we really just need access to the pool...we can jump the gate for that. someone make sure to bring some coolers...
Yep, Charles was the one telling everybody the party was at his house [thumbsup]
The westies invite y'all to CORY'S going away party.
Where: my house.
When: July 19th, Saturday.
11AM for those who want to help cook/grill,
anytime thereafter for those who want to show up, eat, drink and
dive into the pool to cool off.
All those who can come please PM me for directions. I need to know how many are coming so we can prepare enough food. My house is a "dry" house so if anyone wants a particular drink let me know and we will try to have it available. Of course, you are welcome to BYOB/D.
The pool has an 8 ft deep end. Kids are welcome but watch out for the deep end and the kids. Sorry, no hot tub. :( But we could do kareoke [laugh]. Maybe not.
We have RichD's ribs (care of RichD himself). We will make Chicken Fajitas, if my son gets around to teaching me how to make his recipe which I thought was good. Meatballs in BBQ sauce, and Hotdogs for the kids if there are any.
Since we don't want to forget Patrick, so Patrick, PM me and we'll have something for you.
It would be nice if as many of you who can come bring your bikes. It would be good for the neighborhood to see a gaggle of Ducs having fun. ;D
I was hoping to do this a couple of weeks later b/c we have a little construction going on which won't be finished by the 19th but Cory's schedule is tight so we have to do it on that date. There will not be any construction on that day and its effect will not necessarily be in our way.
In any case, let's give Cory a send off we won't forget or something he won't be able to remember.
Remember PM me.

It's good if he doesn't mind doing catering at the student union.
A bit of food service, but free food is good while you're in college and there are some good people to meet. I knew almost all the college Deans and President Faulkner (former). It was nice to have them recognize you when you talk to them about school stuff. Did I mention free food?
I might still have a connection in the reservations office as well. Just your basic answer phones deal, but its easy and the kids that do that usually just study while it's slow in the office.
He is used to working and this will be good for him. I will let him know. I'm sure he will be around that day. Thanks.

I would love a PM or post up what you think of it. Have never seen Eagles Canyon but am curious of your first time impression. Supposed to be a very nice track. I've heard the accomodations (pits, buildings, etc.) are a work in progress. Maybe take a pop up tent/shelter to battle the rays. [thumbsup]

***,
I'll be caging too since I'll be bringing the BinB on the trailer for Cory's going away gift...!!! ooops, was that supposed to be a secret? I hope not!!! Anyway, I plan to bring a cooler filled with cold, sudsy adult beverages. No, not Dr. Peppers with nude pics on them... sorry to disappoint. Any beer requests? Whoa!! How stupid is that question!! Try to limit your answers to brand names. I was thinking Newcastle (Mmmmm!), Corona, Shiner Black Lager (the good Bock!), maybe even a Duvel or two for you snotty, picky types! [laugh] Will that suffice? If it comes in a bag, can be bought at a store and requires no preparation let me know if I can bring something else. [thumbsup]
Not sure if the Cajun Princess will be attending since Master Colin has a very important stage production of Willie Wonka that he is performing in Saturday and must be at the theater in the afternoon a few hours prior to the show. Anyone wanting tickets to this amazing internationaly acclaimed production please PM me for details. I have an inside connection for good seats. Next stop Broadway!! [clap] [popcorn]
Semi seriuosly, if you need something picked up let me know. See the mob Saturday PM!!

It's Wednesday and I shopped for food and supplies.
It occurred to me that not only is the house "dry", we don't drink coffee. There is a coffee maker but I don't know how to use it. My wife who will be out of town knows but I don't and otherwise don't need to. So could someone bring their favorite coffee and coffee machine please.
Other needs:
a small cake for Cory (which I may not have time to take care of)
chips and dip (did george say he was taking care of that?)
I think I have everything else.
cdc
I could bring some chips and dip. Who got Will's cake at the Boyd's October BBQ last year? That was a pretty cool cake!

I love 'taters...

Ribs and 'taters sound good to me!
We've got ribs, chicken, shrimp, meatballs and aside dish of carbos (my world famous recipe). We have chips, dip, beer, cigars and a cake but we don't have 'tater.
I don't make 'taters but I do eat them. I buy my 'taters.
Can anyone bring 'taters?
Anyone?

PIPELINER!!! It looks like you an' the missus are in the 'tater business.

Funny, I just asked Stephanie to make her yummy tater salad for the party. Have no fear, there will be taters.
Since we're on the topic of "taters":
You always seem to be deep in thought. Tell me, what are you thinking right now?
I was thinkin', I'm gonna take me some of these taters home with me.
How about before that?

When to use the word "tatoehole":
Going down '35 one day a rice rocket came flying by then slowed down quick to pull up beside me. He looks over and pulls a wheelie while changing lanes in front of me to the exit three lanes over.

Who the hell needs coffee in the middle of a 100 degree day in Texas summer when you are most likely outside? I can see in the morning trying to wake/sober up but midday and into the evening? That's crazy talk. What you need is cold beer, yummy food and fixins and just to make sure the place is propery stunk up, cigars! Charles, have you checked with your neighborhood association to see if there are any regulations against us all being over there? I could see how some might have been drawn up since the last cigar, beer and pool debauchary? Hell, their ears are probably still ringing from LYD's D&D pipes! [laugh]

YO! Lisa!! Are you caging it to Cory's throw down? The reason I ask is "IF" there is any beer left in my cooler (what am I thinking? Beer is in the frig at my Dad's house chiilin'. Corona, Guinness Stout, Shiner Black Lager, Newcastle and a double handful of Duvel... and no they are not the 2 litre jumbo bottles or however big those suckers are! You should bring on own adult beverage of choice if you don't like my cooler contents. I won't be offended. ;D It's not like I'm bringing beer for a 100 person party anyway. Two 50 quart coolers full of brew, it's a damn good start!

We'll be there later. Still recovering from LollieBombs. Have to finish watching Formula 1 practice and qualifying and then scrub the glitter out of my hair.

Party would not be the same without your attitude, Scott, and my kids have already asked if you are going to be there!

CDC - Thank you for sharing your lovely home & pool with us for Cory's party - the casaba cake rocked ! - someday I may have to get that recipe !!
Home in time to celebrate my 24th Wedding Anniversary - Alaskan King Crab ( not " Krab " ) and Champagne !!
Cyclonette says sorry she missed the party - awesome ribs etc. - She says Cory should consider himself kissed !!! :-* She's sorry she wasn't there to plant one for real !!
Thanks Charles for having this party - WOW! what a day :o I know I've said it before but I'm gonna say it again - you folks are the best [thumbsup] Really enjoyed hanging around all day and shootin' the shit... Attitude adjustment complete 8)
Cory, good luck in your new digs. You'll be missed here that's for sure [beer]

Home also. Absolute great time, made me forget all about the Texas summer heat... sort of. I would sit all day in the heat for only two reasons: dove hunting and you guys! First, Charles thank you so much for letting the mob invade your beautiful home (can't believe the guard let us all in!), wonderful hospitality! Please tell your son that the chicken fajitas rocked! Really good. Speaking of food, damn Rich! Those ribs KICKED ASS! You the man dude! Great turn out for Alan's little brother's send off. [laugh] Hell, Alan even called. Did anyone actually talk to him or did we just all yell howdy into Charles' phone?
Back to the turn out. Outstanding to see everyone and all the kiddos wearing that pool out. Great hot summer day spent with good friends. Glad to meet some spouses and S.O.s! Hope you get to meet Jen someday, she wants to go but is afraid we'll talk about scooters all freaking day (which is kinda true... :P) and boy does she hate those! I know both guys and gals would chat her up and make her feel at home. She knows how much I love and appreciate you guys. She'd figure it out and feel at home. Someday. [thumbsup]
Cory, bro', really sorry to see you leave us. Big time! I know you'll be in and out over the next several weeks so I will make a point to catch a westies dinner when they make the arrangements. Tonight is not goodbye just a see you later. As I said, we go to NO on a semi regular basis to see Jen's family and friends. I will hook up and let you know whenever we go. Beware of Crazy Uncle Jim... no shit, I'm serious. You'll know when you meet him that's who he is. You can't miss him. Sorry, but he lives on the West Bank too. I'll send you a description for safety sake!
Take care, I'll see you soon at a dinner. [thumbsup] If you need anything scooter-wise or not from this group just ask. You're family!
Adios!
Brian/fastwin
PS by the way, you're breaking Winky's heart! [clap]

not so much...i don't think it "sensed" bikes very well. and we saw some weird fireworks thing at one point on 20...they were blue/purple, like someone had lit off fireworks right at the guard rail....and then tons of smoke.
charles, had a great time...pool was awesome, food, beer, and people weren't too bad, either. thanks for everything, and to all those people that suffered by bringing their cage so they could bring the food, beer, and smokes. [thumbsup]
enjoy your sunday!
Beer report time. Please tell me my cooler is empty! It had better be!! [drink] [beer]
***,
thanks so much for having us over. Bonnie and I had a great time. The kids, well I think they have gills. They had a blast! Corey, everyones gonna miss you man. Great time, great place and definately great people. [thumbsup]
It was good to see Alan yesterday as well... It's been awhile [thumbsup]
Where are all the photos?!?
Definitely a great time. Sorry I wasn't more social. My energy level was flagging and this morning I found out why when I woke up coughing with a stuffed up nose. It sucks to be sick in the summertime! You guys and gals rock. Thanks Charles for hosting this. [thumbsup]
Know the feeling Will. I have a big bore, full Termi sinus infection and felt like s#@t yesterday, still do today. Was smart enough to try and head it off and called my doc to get her to call in a Z-pack antibiotic 'script on Thursday. Yes, I know I shouldn't have been drinking yesterday but what was I gonna do? Sit there drinking Scott's vitamin water while ya'll drank all my yummy beer? Ah... not happening. I compromised and didn't smoke a cigar. It was hard enough not having a stogey but I vicariously enjoyed watching Rich and CJ puff away.
What a great time! ;D
Cory, we will miss you Bro. I wish you the best and know that we will still see you from time to time (starting this Thursday at our meet ;)). [thumbsup]
Thanks Charles for hosting--had a great time and it was cool hanging out with everyone. The food and company were awesome, as usual. [clap]

When I finally woke up, it was just in time to watch the WSBK race2, then off to Motopia to watch the MotoGP race. It's was a busy weekend to say the least but some of the most fun I've had with my clothes on. The pool certainly got a good work out and I'm glad everyone enjoyed.
Hey Cory don't forget the DFW/DMF group!
Thanks to everyone who came to give Cory a big send off. And thanks for the suff people brought, from the chips to the dips to the 'tatoes to the ribs and the pina colada and beer and cake and everything in between they were all great stuff. [thumbsup] I about filled my recyclable cart with beer bottles and that's a big cart to fill.
Big thanks too for Scott's shade. I need to git me one of those.
Good news!!! None of my neighbors have sent letters of complaints. Maybe they enjoyed us being there too. ;D I know DUKE made friends with my neighbors. ;D

Man there is now way in hell I would ever want to do that. This group will love you for who you are, not for what you look like. Anyway if you did that then, most of the others would get jealous. Lets just keep one person bald and buff!! This way we know who it is and we don't have to remember his name, except, Vin!! [laugh]
That's funny as shit. Being old, fat, and hairless has it's advantages. Chicks finally stopped hitting on me. :-* And a bottle of shampoo lasts me like two years! [thumbsup] And they never confuse me with CJ. ;D
Hey, I worked hard to get this bod. I may have funny looking mirrors at home but they show me exactly what I like to see. Besides, It helps keep me afloat in the pool. Really. You ever notice how fat can float on the surface of water? huh?
As as for the white hair, the chlorine in the pool bleached my hair white. It's chemistry you know, simple. Believe me, I know this stuff. ;D
BTW, I'm turning the garage into a fitness center! It'll have all the latest equipment to build your body. Lazy boys, plasma TVs, and a buffet for all the chips and dips and crunchies. Oh and I'll have a fridge full of beer. It'll be like Alan's house. Everything you need and nothing of what you don't.
I'll call it: CALORIES

i spent five years getting up at the crack of dawn running anywhere from 3 miles if we were lucky and 10 miles if the sgtmajor was really pissed off or hadn't gotten any in awhile. 5 days a week of that and i gotta say SCREW THAT SHIT. the spare tire stays!!! i don't run anywhere. join the corps as an 03anything and you'll see real quick how sick and tired you can get of PT (workin out), FIELD DAY (cleaning), waiting and cleaning a damn rifle. 12 yrs ago in the corps i weighed 140lbs at 5'6" a good breeze would blow me over. now it will take a hurricane and i can nap after i eat which makes a good bbq that much better.
