Title: Howdy
Post by: Spartacus on January 11, 2012, 06:14:19 PM
Spartacus - because I do the WORST Kirk Douglas impression ever!
Being of Italian descent, I've always dreamed of owning a Duc.  Dream came true in 2010 when I bought one of the first Monster 796's released in Florida. (Absolutely love this bike!)
Been riding 20 years but still have a lot to learn, which is why I joined this forum.

Welcome! You have good taste too!  ;)

Where are the Ducati winding mountain roads in FL though? 8)

Florida mountains are called exit ramps!!! Seriously there are some pretty nice rides across the state, and, of course, riding along the coasts is great. Thought of getting a trailer and heading north to NC or Va to do the blue ridge pkwy. This thing called work keeps getting in the way though.

:)

BRP and trailer is a great idea. Due to work only did it 4 times myself both ways from NJ. Used Asheville as a base of operations. Now retired to Central VA, 70 miles of mostly nice bike roads to the BRP.

If you do the Parkway, I'll buy you lunch here at the northern end. 93 pure gas available too! http://binged.it/x7mffc (http://binged.it/x7mffc) Zoom out. Reeds Gap exit of the Parkway.

Do it! Best flowers and traffic mid May and no kiddies. June not bad or maybe October. July-August a parking lot probably.
