Hey guys names David and im from Long Beach. Always wanted a monster after i saw my neighbor pull his out and fire it up, heard the clutches going and i was hoooooooked! My dreams of owning one will become reality within the next few weeks. Ive been riding on and off mostly harleys, since i got my license around 2 years ago. Thank you for having me, and im sending a big appreciation out to all the help i will probably need/get from this website. Once again thanks for having me, pleasure to be here.
welcome to the board. make sure and check out the SOCAL locals section. you might even find some bikes for sale..
thank you sir for the welcome, seems like a great place. Been talking to a few members here through pms and seems like you have a good group of individuals here. [thumbsup]
I have the Ducati 2012 Monster 1100 EVO. Fun bike no doubt, there are some issues that Ducati needs to address pertaining to its spring and shock adjustibility. Front shock adjustments don't allow for any rigidity value. It keeps same measurements. Shocks bottom out a little too easy sometimes when going through dip or up driveway ramp. Rear shock spring is at its maximum rigidity adjustment. No available threads to increase adjustment. This can all be solved through aftermarket parts though. My exhaust was missing 2 screws that hold on the back cover as well. Anyone else note these issues.

How much do you weigh? Is your dealer an Ohlins-trained specialist? I have a DU-737 in the rear which was ordered from Ohlins and built (valved) and sprung for my weight, 175# + gear. It's a fraction of the cost of the DP Ohlins. I believe we have the same frame but not sure.
Not familiar with your fork but it may work a lot better once the rear end of your bike is sorted. My late 2011 796 has a Marzocchi which works just fine for my weight and riding style. The stock shock did almost nothing.
