Title: Hello from Lynchburg VA
Post by: Tyler1150 on January 24, 2012, 07:09:48 PM
Greetings from Virginia.  I am Dean.  I have used the forum for a couple of years but never took the time to introduce myself.

I ride a 95 M900.  Been riding for 15 years.  Moved to VA from North Carolina. I have seen a couple of monsters around the area and one really fast SS (I mean this guy was draging a knee!).

I would be gratefull to hear from any duc pilots in the area!

Welcome to Virgina Dean! Watch out for aggressive, bike-unfriendly drivers.

Provided we somehow avoid the white stuff in Central VA this winter and they don't drop any sand on all the backroads, I'll meet you at the Devil's Backbone for lunch on the first warm day of spring. That is..., provided you don't mind the company of an old fart.  ;) Wasn't me dragging the knee! Just send me a PM. That's 40 miles of nice road for you and more like 70 for me. Non-ethanol fuel in Wintergreen too!

There's a Richmond thread on CAM but it's dead. Seen a couple of Monsters on the road in Goochland and Powhatan too, but not to talk to as they were moving right along.

It's mostly NoVA that has the high concentration of A-hole drivers.  So if you come this way, then watch out.

There's a local section, CAM, that covers VA. Though it's DC/NoVA/Balto centric. But we do have our outliers and there's also folks who go on long rides.

Welcome, and come drop a line in CAM

Welcome to VA, Dean.

There are a lot of nice mountain roads out by you. But like others have said, watch out for unfriendly drivers, especially on back roads.
