Would it hurt your eyes if you saw me wearing a Triumph jacket while riding my Duc? Wait, before you answer, I'm also rockin Harley Davidson boots. And my jeans have creases from where my mom ironed them even though I told her not to. Ok, that last part isn't true. But would you acknowledge me if I rolled up along side at a light? Discuss.
While riding your Duck?
You mean like this?............

I'd rather you be wearing gear that didn't match your bike than not wearing gear at all.
But that's only my opinion, which shouldn't matter to you at all.
Wear what you want, dude.

[laugh]
Where did you find that picture of me?
You are only allowed to use Ducati emblazoned gear while riding a Duc. That includes socks and underwear. If not, the Ducati police will impound your bike. No exceptions.
Does not apply for hot chicks as long as they're just wearing the jacket with g-string. Safety first.
Why not, as long as it doesn't scream "TRIUMPH" in big letters all over it? I wear an older black Triumph jacket with subtle branding on the front only and otherwise looks like a WW II USN aviator's jacket but has full armor and wonderful vents. For that matter, my other jacket is a black BMW "New City Jacket" which is high-tech but looks like a Barbour International, also with little obvious branding.
Ducati/Dianese seem only to make flashy stuff for kids or for slim roadracers. THAT leaves ME out. ;)
Mom irons your clothes?
It's cool so long as you wear an orange Repsol Honda helmet and not a single piece of Ducati gear. Or wear what you want because it is your bike. Your Mom irons your clothes?

Don't h8 cos I have it so good, braah. ;)
really ? who cares ? I wear a Triumph t-shirt when I ride my duc 620. I just bought a used ducati wind breaker from DMF, i plan to wear that when I ride my triumph s3.
seriously though, i personally do not care about color matching or brand matching that most people seem to care about.
as long as you wear a gear [thumbsup]
i had a dude ask me if it was ok to wear full suit at bike meets. Who cares ? Wear whatever you feel is right for your riding style or feel will protect you more.
ok, i admit, you won't catch me wearing a Harley gear. screw that ! I draw the line somewhere.
Triumph riding gear is a good deal. Their stuff is cheaper than Dianese. Had I not rec'd a decent discount on the gear I bought at the time I acquired my 696, I might have paid a visit to the Triumph dealership.
Since I also own a Triumph I see no problem with wearing my Triumph jacket on my Ducati. AS already noted, Triumph gear is pretty good stuff and much cheaper than Ducati gear. Go for it! [Dolph]

Nothing beats looking like a pirate.
Any gear is better than no gear. Brand whoring is an unattractive trait. If I saw a guy on a Duc wearing a Triumph jacket, I'd probably be looking at the bike. If I noticed the jacket at all, I'd assume he was an enthusiast of Euro bikes. If it were a BMW or Ducati jacket, I'd assume the same.
If it were a BMW jacket, I would assume they were a douche.

Doubt you'd object to mine though, and it works VERY well, light, well-made, and has CE armor. Great on the Bonneville too as it looks like a Barbour International. http://www3.catoya.com/asp/_1071/flash/pdfs/0052.pdf (http://www3.catoya.com/asp/_1071/flash/pdfs/0052.pdf)

Douche [thumbsup]
It doesnt matter what you wear when you ride as long as it keeps you safe and you're happy with it. What matters is you ride and enjoy it. [Dolph] Personally next to Ducati Triumph is my number two choice followed closely by Norton. So do the right thing and dont worry about what anyone says about what you're wearing while you ride. Especially you're old lady!
I'll be wearing a Harley jacket when I ride. It's comfy and well worn in at 7 years old. I'll probably get a non manufacturer branded jacket at some point.
I wear all black, all the time, 'cause I'm a badass...
(pay no attention to the tutu...)

Wear what you want... who cares what others think... Enjoy yourself on the bike! [thumbsup] [Dolph]

I draw the line at Harley gear too. Its just personal preference. Like they said on Seinfeld.. "not that there's anything wrong with it"
Lots of great responses to my semi-serious, half-assed question. Thanks! I wound up getting a Fox Creek Grayson jacket instead. No frills, black. Time to go look for some patches!
Went riding with a friend this weekend. He rode a BMW k1300, wore a Ducati Jacket, and a Honda shirt underneath. [laugh] Who cares what you wear?
gear is gear is gear. i'd rather be wearing a different brand of jacket and save my elbows from grinding down to nothing than worry about matching.
