So I can't find a thread that shows a how-to
How are you all shortening the turn signals? Do you have to take the headlight apart to reach the bolt? Is there a write up out there? Any help is very much appreciated. [beer]
yup headlight has to come out, and those bolts holding them in need to be replaced with shorter ones when you pull the spacer out
BUT.... it's a really simple process.

This should take no more than 30 minutes to do. As noted, you will need to replace the mounting bolts which I think are 6mm allen head.
Thanks guys! Anyone know the thread pitch or can you point me to a place that sells the correct length? Thanks again!
Ill do the silverstar bulbs at the same time. High and low beam are both H7 correct?

I just took my old ones to the local hardware store and got the correct size I needed. It cost less than a buck for the new ones. [thumbsup]
low beam is h7, high beam is h1

you sure it was 25? i just picked up a 20mm long bolt, and its way too long, i think it needs to be a 15mm long bolt
Sorry, just checked bought 25mm they were to long used extra hex heads from when I did the fender eliminator 10 or 15mm. They were part of the stock fender mounting bolts.
