Just filled up at a servo & got talking to another rider. He informed me that one of his forum members is actually a cop & said that the Police & the RTA will be doing a blitz on the Old rd today. Particularly checking for noise pollution.
I have no idea of the authenticity of this info, so it could be complete hogs wash.
Be warned either way!
We can send Teff to investigate he has at least one bike that meets the standard now ;
They could book you too Rob [leo] ......... for excessive verbal diarrhea [laugh]
At the moment it seems they are doing this every sunny weekend ATM [bang]
good thing bloody noisy bikes , [laugh]
It really sounds like they have it in for the area. It is a reason why I don't always enjoy going up there.
Bike riders no matter what they are doing just seem to be a target.
I guess I can understand when the [leo] are scraping riders up from armco because the mentality is "where else can I go racing" from some riders.
It sounds like a place to avoid until next summer perhaps. :'(

Kinda makes it difficult for us to go anywhere.
We checked it out today - with my standard zorst they can go to town, and it's hard to tell the spada is even running it's so quiet.
No coppers, but it seemed every few hundred metres there was another "roadworks", which consisted only of some bored twit holding a slow sign and a couple of dozen traffic cones so he'd have somewhere to park his ute. Bloody strange.
Oh, and pits was absolutely infested with cruisers.
Incidentally there were scores of [leo] in RNP around lunchtime also. One turned around and tailed me for a bit. Its bloody hard riding quietly without baffles but somehow managed not to get pulled over. Maybe the southern boys in blue are not as critical on mods as their northern counterparts.

Other than further Nth through to Wisemans and Wolombi area.
It's funny though, maybe the [leo] though if they put the word out and it got to the forums that they would be up the Old Road that everyone would head south and low and behold they are there in force.
Maybe it's just the fact that there is little to zero good riding weather so whenever it's sunny and riders head out so do they.
Heh! Scuse me for being cynical but, maybe because the weather has been crap, their revenue has dropped dramatically and therefore their [leo] brownie points for promotion etc!??? [roll]
Cant have that now can we?? ??? [cheeky]
And there's another train of thought.
