Title: Facebook and teenagers

1.  He's a moron.  Shooting the laptop serves no purpose.  Just sell it.

2.  There is no such thing as an "exploding" hollow point.  Just sayin'.

I don't do facebook. But my teenage step son was going to jump off a cliff if he didn't get a FB account. He was a turd in the punch bowl and a social outcast if he didn't have one. Mom gave in but she monitors it like the IRS/FBI/Secret Service combined. I say good for her. [thumbsup] More parents should. He may delete stuff he doesn't want her to see (maybe [roll]) but she's got his password and checks his account all the time and he never knows when that will be. I keep urging her to sign in as him and post some crazy shit as a prank but just gives me "the look". [laugh]

In regards to the thread story I thought the yahoo could have shot a tighter group at that close of a range. Seriously. You can't get them in one ragged hole at 4 feet? [popcorn] [laugh]

if that was an apple laptop, then I would have been impressed.  Coz no one in his right mind would shoot an apple laptop.

Anyhow, seriously that was stupid shooting a laptop.  serves 0 purpose.  she is gonna get a "smart" phone soon and still do everything.

didn't sound like she was enough of a go getter to afford one,.......and dad doesn't seem like he is going to buy her one..

I approve of the dad's response.

Purpose served:  It was her daughter's connectivity tool.  Kids LOVE and supposedly NEED their technology.

She has got to be smarting from the loss of it and also knows she's got to pony up to get a new one.
I like to think it will be a valuable lesson for her.

Between his inability to properly construct sentences and the fact that he destroyed a laptop that he'd just put a bunch of time and money into, that guy doesn't seem like the brightest individual around.

That coupled with the fact that the girl wasn't the one responsible for the parenting that led her to be a lazy, unappreciative little shithead leads me to believe that she'll either have an iphone or a new laptop in under 6 weeks.

wow........lots of deep thoughts for a YouTube video.

as far as i'm concerned, it was amusing.

as far as the underlying theme of impulse control and consequences......that might require a whole new thread.

I have several thoughts on the video...

1) I am glad he addressed her posting the way he did....

2) I think it was an absolute waste to shoot the laptop and it was his decision to waste it and the money he spent, so he shouldn't be charging her the $130 for it....now as a suggestion, selling the laptop and showing it being handed to its new owner, a whole 'nother story and still just as rightly effective at making the end of it's usage to her just as effective....

3) I think he is also kinda dumb for not knowing how many rounds his pistol holds....

I'm still hung up on the poor grouping at such a short range. [laugh] Instead of buying the brat an iphone or new lap top Dad should spend the $$ on more ammo and a shooting class. [thumbsup] ;)

I think he's an idiot for destroying the laptop - might have been more effective for him to use it as his own...particularly every single time his daughter was in the room AND tell her she could earn the money herself for a laptop.

my only thought of this video

How can he not know how many rounds are in his .45?
